So? If they are, who cares? It's a TRIAL, and most of our first-grade team wasn't even playing.

Seriously boxhead get over yourself.

I think mortimer is a write off & all this pumping kearney is a joke.

Get this thru your head & everyone else. I am a parra supporter but a realistic one. My comment was made in exactly what it meant. Trial reports mean sweet nothing. They use the same old lines they have used the last 10 years. The only true reports are the ones from where people actually watched the game.

So if anyone was lucky enough to afford to go there then that is the real report i will like to read or hear. If there was the supposed structure kearney is known for if mortimer all of a sudden became a average player & so on & so on not the usual crap our seo & club want us to hear

 You aren't a realist, you are just a drop-kick.
As you say, the trials mean nothing, so why the hell are you making an issue of it?
I'm not the one that has to get over myself.

Anxiously awaiting the usual person who believes we are set for the wooden spoon because we lost in a trial.

Absolutely agree with you Boxhead....

but you were the one who last week after watching the Warriors first trial game commented on the fact that based on their performances Mateo and Inu haven't improved at all, and their 'hardest off season in a long time' was just a myth, and based on that trial things didn't look good for the Warriors this season.

Spartan is out of hand and carrying on a bit for no reason, but it's a case of the pot calling the kettle (well let's not be rascist) But overall you are 100% correct trials mean nothing more than a hitout especially our first one, in NZ, with an extended squad.

No need to be concerned, Warriors second trial game our first. And lets not forget we basically when over there with no front rowers. Very hard to defeat the warriors with out any experienced front rowers in the squad. Also we didn't have much experience at hooker. No need to cut our wrists if fact to only lose 24 to 4 doesn't sound to bad, considering it was 20 to 4 at half-time. Now lets wait for the match report.

NZ Warriors knock over Parramatta Eels

Last updated 19:17 12/02/2011

Three second-half tries saw the New Zealand Warriors shut out the Parramatta Eels 24-4 in pre-season NRL trial at Rotorua's International Stadium today.

Tries to Manu Vatuvei and new signing Krisnan Inu gave the Warriors a narrow 8-4 halftime lead, with second rower Taniera Lasalo crossing to pull one back for the Eels.

First-year NRL player Glen Fisiiahi impressed with a brace of tries in the second spell, Lewis Brown scoring the last to give Ivan Cleary's side an encouraging 20-point win.

The Warriors were without James Maloney, out through illness, with Isaac John called in as a late replacement to partner former Junior Warriors captain Elijah Taylor in the halves.

It was John's first run of the season after recovering from knee surgery.
Also turning out for the first time after missing the 22-22 draw with Newcastle in Greymouth last weekend were winger Vatuvei, centre Jerome Ropati, hooker Aaron Heremaia and props Sam Rapira, Ben Matulino and Russell Packer.

Brothers Sam and Steve Rapira played together in a Warriors side for the first time today, after previously having played together for the Junior Kiwis in 2005.

It was 8-4 at half time, where did you get 20-4 from?

Seriously for a moderator get over youself. I said that the trial reports are the usual garbage we get for the club every year. I would love to read a report from someone who watched the game. How the hell is that having a whinge.

I am a realest & aint gonna carry on like we are gonna be top 8 material. The club & your mates have set us up for this crap. I realise we are in for a long long year. We have no dominant halfs. Our only genuine classy hooker is still a little under weight & a little to green for week in week out 1st grade.

Our forwards are a genuine winning pack but our backline does not have the class. Throw ontop of that our genuine star not having a proper pre season it all spells for a tough year.

Hey if kearney can do something with this bunch then the guy deserves coach of the year if he doesnt then he doesnt. He is in a win win situation.

You of all people know the pr clubs spin to supportwers hence why i would love a Fkn independent report from someone who actually watched the game

 Just like last week's thread, you don't seem to post anything until you have an opprtunity to take a swipe at me.

Jokes :), but in all actuality, I was joking in regards to Inu and Mateo. I'm stupid, but I'm not stupid enough to see that the trial didn't reflect on Inu at all.

Aside, what I think really makes bandering about this result pointless is the fact that the Warriors had a lot of their first-grade players in their squad, and we had a few. Most of our players either have never played first-grade or are new to the club. But that doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, again it's just a trial.

My mistake, I took it from one of the posts on here. Anyhow looking at the Warriors side, they had a very good forward pack for this game

Weighing it up they had more of their starting pack on show than the Eels did - Hindmarsh, Mannah, Poore and bench players like Webb weren't starting for us and while we had some able replacements many have limited first grade appearances.

Also, given a good deal of the side had played the previous week it was reasonably easy to assume that they may have a few less cobwebs.....

The most telling game is the last of the three trials depending on the lineups.....
