Lol GrandPlod.

NZ have botched this badly.

Showed too much respect to the bowlers thinking they'll catch up later.

Doesn't work like that if you keep getting out before accelerating.

Was working ok until Kane pulled out that lazy edge.

But don’t like the tactic in general, Guptill should have at least attempted strokeplay. This is what got us bumbling to 183 in the last final.

We'll be making up the numbers in the semi. Stead was too locked in to his first xi. Australia showing the benefit of experimenting through the tournament.

It’s almost the same squad as last time, except Munro isn’t McCullum and Santner isn’t Vettori and that’s very telling including leadership.

New Zealand should be pissed for completely blowing the Ferguson spell and Boult hattrick. Spent the middle part of their batting overs and our entire innings being reactive and waiting for Australia to make a move.

Full credit for Aussie for their typical grit, winning the little moments counts and sadly we’re clearly a gear short of winning this tourney

Anyone still want to defend Maxwell?

Comes in with 30 overs to go, 4 down, and again plays big shots straight away. Spastic.

Biggest myth in cricket.

who do you replace him with? SMarsh is the only option

Steve Smith played a big shot when we lost 2 early wickets

Every batsmen plays stupid shots every now and then, Maxwell does it every few balls. Seriously run some medical tests on him please, he has some neurological condition. Massive genius.

May as well play Marsh or Coultier Nile. Neither could possibly contribute less.

With our batting going as well as it is Maxwell is a luxury we can afford. I'd be keeping in the team knowing what he can do in those late overs.
