What was the pre season final where Canberra played. Must have been back in the late 80’s

Very ineffective defence there from Ponga - all stemmed from him hanging onto the tackled player too long, and being out of position and rushing his cover tackle on the winger.

For one of the highest paid blokes in the comp, I just don't see the value in Ponga.

I think the Craven Mild Cup was last played in 1981, before Canberra joined the NSWRFL.
