I guarantee that every regional team is more valuable to broadcasters than the smaller Sydney sides.

They'd be even more valuable to both broadcasters and the NRL over time if the NRL forced equal coverage, but that's a different discussion.

So why is some cases are these Regional areas in no other competitions?

If Townsville was a valuable market they'd have more professional teams, It is that simple

Regional Australia is great for the comp and is a huge benefit to the game but you need the big cities for the corporate and media value
