It was a pretty funny article for a number of reasons.

I didn’t know the Gold Coast Crushers entered in the competition in 95. The things you learn.
Hooper still drunk from all the free grand final drinks

Bummer. I literally saw 50 much better fan-made jersey ideas on this site during the course of this year.

Reckon it's only a matter of time before they change both the "The" name and the jersey. Like someone said in that article....Redcliffe have done everything wrong as an expansion team, a lesson in what not to do for future expansion teams.

Reckon the Gold Coast Suns and GWS Giants also tho match the Dolphins lame effort.

Agreed. They are not off to a good start. Hopefully their money and investment in juniors helps them eventually

Not helping vlandys if he wants to expand further

Well they haven’t done it properly. They will struggle for the first couple of years (as do most new sides btw) simply because it is much harder to sign players when your club is an unknown factor. That’s something that the NRL need to factor in when they do it next and they are going to have to put in at least one more side because you can’t have a comp with an uneven amount of teams

After those first couple of years it depends on how they set the club up. It hasn’t helped that they haven’t made many good decisions so far

Munster turned down an extra 300k pa to stay loyal

good result for the storm
Bad result for the use of a salary cap... anyways if your relying on a salary salary cap to spread talent across the competition,
...you dont increase it.. otherwise this shit happens

yep, typical dumb NRL.
Should have given them
A) more time to get ready
B) $2mill salary cap concessions to sign from outside of NRL
you reap what you sow

If you are going to increase the salary cap and I don’t have a problem with that but you need something else with the salary cap to even out the competition.
