You simply plan it better. They were given a year (pretty much) to construct a squad. If you gave them an extra year and the ability to recruit from the time they were announced until they entered they would have been able to recruit the necessary players

Players get paid so much now they can afford to turn their noses up at an extra $200k.

That’s on covid vlandys plan was to announce expansion way earlier then the second covid outbreak and moving the comp to Brisbane put it on hold for six months

Players want security. You had and have to give the Dolphins or any other expansion side some advantage in order to do this properly.

Other clubs mightn’t like it but any new side has an inherent disadvantage

yep, Titans had marquees when they came in, didn't do them much good after the first few seasons....

GWS has been given every leg up imaginable to build a squad and successful club and they're as irrelevant as ever.

What young players are you actually talking about? Their full strength starting 17 have all played first grade and a lot of them aren’t particularly young
