Thought he had a great game tonight particularly in defence. It was good to see him giving the majority of the long range kicking duties to Mortimer.

Robson saved our arse defensively on a number of occasions tonight. Made 32 effective tackles.

Well done Robbo!!

Damned straight. Some of those tackles in the first half were amazing.

For a bloke who received absolutely zero confidence from the fans when he was handed the job he has greatly exceeded expectations and has earnt my respect, at the very least.

handy back up player

got to be the front runner at the moment for the vacant halves position next year

I don't think so but I will say this. If he could be moulded into a hooker I think he could go good as he has good defence

Surely the vacant halves position is back up based on the money available. plus he could fit into halves or hooker. he's doing his chances no harm atm

agree, i would re-sign the bloke in a half beat aslong as it's cheap, he has improved with every single game, and would be great depth next year....well the way he's playing not even depth - he could well be starting if KK isn't performing at a high level!!

I absolutely rate him. We may gain some zip with KK there, but we will lose some starch. It's comforting that the big pigs don't run at him because he's a speed hump.

don't worry, I'm sure he's one ordinary game away from the scrapheap again...lol

fantastic game but some aspects of his kicking game was still scratchy..

just on the kicking - tbh, our attacking kicking is diabolical ... not just robson .... soooooo many tries are scored in rugby league from kicks these days - we hardly score any and hardly force repeat sets

our longer range kicking was good tonight - got good field possession from it .... but we waste so much ball inside the 20m

Im sort of glad we dont rely on kicks to score tries anymore, like we did last year. Its refreshing. My only critisism of our kicking game tonight was that we dont put grubbers in the in goal enough to get repeat sets.

But tonight I was absolutly amazed by Daniel Mortimers long kicking game. I did not think he had it in him.

Robson was solid once again.

I am still not sold om MK. I would try Robson there and see how he goes. Kingston and Robson to me may be a better option for us. Just a thought.

in ALL honesty - he is our second best defender

which is a huge problem for a no 7, he's too buggered to be useful in attack, and when he is fresh he still offers very little except for the occasional kick on the 6th

we dont need another Finch

I know we dont have any other choices atm, but he does have some strengths in his game, but not at no 7 imo

in a full strength team he may be useful at 14 if he can keep up the defensive pressure and make a few darts from dummy half

I see Robson more of a 7 than 9. If we can't get another halfback for next year id re-sign robson. He wouldnt cost much and with this years experience could fill in a pinch if we got any injuries next year.

I think he has only had 2 bad games in his second stint this year. I haven't been disappointed with him even when he has been average because he is doing a magnificent job since coming in!

He knows his limitations, he doesn't try anything stupid, he knows his place and knows why he is there. He gives 110% every week, what more can you ask for in a 3rd string halfback?

He knows he wouldn't be here if Finch hadn't walked out, Mateo and Keating weren't injured, so he is doing his best in a bad situation and imo derserves plenty of praise.

Of course when Keating comes back he will go back to Wenty but he isn't stupid, he knows it so he is making the most of it while he can!
