If robson is the half for next year with performances like the past three, i'll be content. Well done robbo.

Hooker should be our priority ahead of cronk. There is a chance to get smith which will never occur again. Why we would pay 600 for cronk when smith is just as available is a mystery.

Ennis would improve our club more than cronk. If we had him last night we probably win it by 30.

And smith is a whe class above. He is a guy that qld origin and storm have built a dynasty around.

The game would be so much easier for whoever played half if smith was at 9

My biggest worry is that we have offered Cronk way too much $$ then what he is worth. I see your point re: Cameron Smith.

Robbo > Morts at 7 definitely.

I hate how we get a good roll on in the first half of the game with Robson, then try and give Morts time at 7 once we've got the game in the bag, and things end up being pedestrian and we don't go on with what we've built.

Bite the bullet DA, and give Morts the 6 shirt, instead of pretending he can still become a 7 by naming him in that shirt each week.

Yep. The further morts stays away from trying to control the team the better.

If we get a real organising halfback we will be close to unstoppable. Robson plays ok but is not the answer there long term. Doent have enough money balls in his arsenal. Morts has only taken 35 games to learn how to throw a quick short ball to a runner hitting a hole. By the time he gets to 200 games he might have the long, short passing game worked out. Plus throw in short kinking and long kicking game as well as the pressure kick to get repeat sets. No offence to all mortimer likers but i dont want to wait 7 years for him to be a average half back

i think cronk would make a good hooker
out of the storm big 4 i have heard no talk about smith leaving or clubs showing an interest in him maybe titans will make a play for him if they miss out on inglis

If we make the GF again this year I will deadset assault someone if anyone tries to tell me that Robson is not the answer in the halves.

Robson was great last night and has been all year. Better then Kris Keating. Even Hayne attributed our form to him returning to the halves.

Ok we may jag Cronk but not for the money being reported. It is outrageous if he is paid more then Hayne.

I agree.

Once Hayne becomes less involved, we go back to the way we attack in during our losses. 0 tries !!!

I like Robson but we need a proven 6 if Robbo is 7.

Or if Robbo is at 6 we need a proven 7.

I did mention a while back that to give Mortz experience, let him control the plays when we are ahead.

It seems as this is happening.

Another thing is is that we are not playing Robbo one side, Mortz the other.

We are playing a 6 and 7 instead of a left 7 and a right 7.

The reason is that Hayne chimes in at a traditional 5/8th/lock position in attack.

Hayne was chiming in when we had a left 7 (mortz) and a right 7 (KK) too.

Now, mortz is off the ball playing and doing more backing up which suits me to a tee as that's his best asset.
