Well done Slater, Monahgan, and Williams..

yeah where we really lost the game was impact off the bench. Fitzy, Watmough, Tupou and Hunt really didnt contribute.

The Slater explosion also was a major turning point after such a great season he really did bring his name back to the field, although what happened to Williams could happen to any winger whose forwards are dominated.

Bit hard for Hunt to do something when you come on in with 10 mins to go and NZ have wrapped the win up.:?

Topou's the most overated player I've seen.

You need solid reliable team men on the wings like Brent Tate and Adrian Purtell.

Monas is a strong club player but I had my concerns about him after game 3 in SOO.

Fitzy had a poor game,Tupou was useless (great, and the sharks signed him on a sh*tload too!), Hunt wasn't given a go (great work ricky), and Watmough, did ok and did poorly... 50-50 for him

well thats kinda my point in a way, you need a bench you can use and that adds to the team, the teams with the best benches tend to perform better. IF you have Hunt on the bench and dont use him, why is he there? If you dont want a replacement back pick 4 forwards.

Locky - you are fair dinkum the only real spastic. You didn't call for Slaters head when he was blowing the Poms off the park. As for cutie - can't remember anyone having more fans for doing f*ck all. What's he done in the last 2 years to deserve the chances selectors give him?

As for Williams and Monas, at least they had a dig. Williams was great in the first half. Monas had to make that play - though illegal. When the World Cup is on the line, would you just stand there and be polite?

Australia missed Price, but Kite was great.

And Inglis was again missing. I re-issue my call that he is overrated. He's great when you are 20 in front and the halves are giving him great service. Yet, take away the fancy play in easy games, he's nothing. He has had many great moments on the bis stage, but he is yet to create anything in a tight game against quality opposition. In comparison, Folau rises to the occasion, and I reckon in a few years time Folau will be clearly a better player.

Jarryd Hayne showed far more passion, brilliance and guile in the finals series than Inglis did.

Inglis was well and truly owned by a converted back rower. Simon Mannering has emerged to be truly world class. Inglis is almost as useless as cutie.

The next Aussie backline needs to have Hayne and Stewart, maybe Hodges.

Miss this years GF Fitz? He played ok tonight ..same as the rest of them.
Where was Greg Inglis ? This years GF and now the WC final ..wasnt sighted off Nobbys!

No sign of him off Long Reef, Seal Rocks or Smokey Cape either.

Yep, outside Lockyer, Thurston, Slater, Folau and Harold Hold Inglis - no chance.

If cutie is the best option to bring on 8 points down with 10 to go - you'd wanna be playing no-one better than Penriff.

This not forget the turnstile Watmough who missed the most tackles of any player on the field....This idiot just cant play in the big games, he showed it in last years gf, origin 2 years ago and tonight

Have to agree...why does he go missing so much in big games ??.

Where the hell was Inglis as well ???...

Everything you said is correct especially the Inglis comment. I thought "when the big games rolled around GI came out to play"

Although there was some poor and costly mistakes, what really cost us was at crucial moments when the game needed someone to step up, no one in the green and gold did.

As soon as I saw that Sticky had no specialist props on that bench, I knew we were a more than decent chance. Bad selection is what f**ked Aussie up. Combined with the Kiwi passion. Time for a new coach Australia. Bring on the ANZAC test.

Aussie suffered from not having any hard hit outs leading into the final. A lot of players were made to look good by some average teams leading into the final. Sticky Stuart was shown up once again and out smarted by Kearney and Bennett. The kiwis played well without being brillant, the Aiussies were average and the forwards just didnt get into the match. Maybe Australia will now pick their best squad rather than the coaches squad!!

I reckon losing Price was a big blow, but indeed putting in Watmough wasn't a very smart idea. He probably had the better season than Perry but if you lose a prop, you need a prop replacement.

The 1, 6, 7 and 9 weren't firing for Australia IMO, Cam Smith wasn't darting out of dummy-half, Thurston's running to the defensive line were being smothered, Slater's kick-returns were negated by Fien's low trajectory kicks. Lockyer did well I suppose, but the playmakers failed to apply the most basic pressure, repeat sets. I haven't looked at the stats but there must've been a horrible set completion rate.

Time for Stuart to lose the job? Last time Australia lost a trophy, someone's head needs to be chopped off. I mean they were talking about him leaving after "the victory", for him to get total redemption Stuart has to wait until the next RLWC, anything less is not deserving. The Roos can beat NZ by 200 in the ANZAC Test, but it will not matter.

Why, so the Kiwis could have won by more?

I re-iterate - what has cutie done in the last 2 seasons?

Our best back 3 is Stewart, Hayne, Williams. Folau and Hodges at centre, with Slater and Tate as subs.

Totally forgot about Kurt Gidley in the process of blaming Aussies. He would've done a lot better job than Hunt or Prince as a supersub.
