I already tipped them to make the 8, i didn't count them to win the roosters game in my draw calculations but did for most of their games,
Have a look at their draw and see how many winable games they have, most of the shitter teams they play twice
Ballsy

im afraid to dream and taking it one game at a time

They were complaining about expansion saying there’s not enough players

Pascoe is the problem I agree with you
Dumb dumb dumb, of course there's not enough players they aren't willing to open up another team that will produce more quality players and so on and so forth... either way theyll keep getting spoons, after the shitshow at leichardt against the knights, im backing another spoon repeat

I got them winning enough games to get to 30 points including the 3 byes,
titans x2, broncos×2, bulldogs, tigers, knights x2, dragons x2, manly, parra...
Could be more not sure on their games with the warriors, i reckon warriors roll them

They'll be in finals if they hit 30 points
Im re thinking the manly game tho, i thought theyd crumble after last year, still dolphins have already beaten raiders and roosters (not as winable) which should cover manly and maybe one of the bronx games. Either way they'll play finals

Expect more expansion teams in years to come to not be failures under good governance, like the storm has, and now dolphins..

That won't happen... whatever goal they are setting, 20 teams by 2032, they are sticking to it, as they know more teams equals more broadcast money, producing more content, and more players/depth for all to prosper from... also expanding the game into all areas of aus and the pacific, not just east coast

Its a tv game, and its missing 2 big cities, just need to create them and fill them full of professional players, ones that can stay competitive and keep them interesting enough for the bulk of a season, till the juniors beneath come thru, and in 5 years afterwards, the locals will be hooked.. theyll think of afl or union as an after thought, just as most folk think of A-league

Oh just like all the juniors Melbourne are rolling out year after year.

Oh wait...

If NRLVic got decent funding then we'd see more Storm players from Melbourne. Thats the problem with the game, people think another NRl club will sort out grassroots, it wont. For all Greenbergs faults he could see we needed significant investment in grass roots and upped funding from $59mill to $88mill.
Since he's left, post covid, we've seen it drop down to $63mill in 2021 and $70mill last year under Abdo.

We have 2 leech clubs in the NRL, Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm, the best part about the storm is that they take from sunny coast and other areas and develop to their style, yes they aren't growing a junior presence as much as the other clubs, but atleast they aren't taking marquees away from the clubs that produce them, generally theyve been able to grab unwanted or cusp/fringe marquees and turned them into superstars... for a city with the population of Sydney, im happy to let their junior base slide, they aren't too much of a leech and support the league in other ways.... whats the roosters excuse?

Yeh that’s a good point

I hate the roosters thinking they can buy premierships

I have Brandon smith is a major fail for them and it’s looking like that

They are not alone. Look at Bulldogs. Loads of pokie money, big jnr catchment. Still have to buy up from other clubs to try and win a game. Tigers same. Its not like most clubs aren't trying to sign other clubs established players. Sharks finally won a premiership buying 3/4 of their spine from other clubs.
If you look at most clubs starting 17's then look at how many of those players debuted for that club, thats a much better indicator of whose doing a good job producing first graders.

Suggest you check their junior team lists. Their jersey Flegg team beat Manly on the weekend and three quarters are Melbourne born and came up through their juniors system.
What’s their ethnic background

this is excellent news

Yeah but there is not like there aren’t Islanders in every part of Australia. This is why the idea that Rugby League remains a competition in one part of the country is so stupid.
And they won’t play afl so easy to target

Were not talking about clubs that buy off the market, every club buys off the market, even panthers..
Im talking about clubs that can only source players coz their area doesn't have any, so they leech off other backyards instead of building a catchment and using them to boost their squad, and also use to trade with other clubs, thus increasing the player pool.... in conclusion the Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm* are mooching off the the rest of the competition, and aren't really giving back.

*im ok with the storm doing this as they represent 5 million sports fans, in Victoria, but roosters have no excuse

Except Storm debut more players than nearly any other club, and other clubs then sign them. If they played u8’s in geelong or balmain doesn’t matter a jot. The value is in taking the best 17 year olds and turning them into long term quality first graders.

But youve taken the from Balmain, denying the tigers to do so, i get the tigers are inept, but instead of them being able to grab a prospective thunderbolt, or this one balmain junior, the storm has them instead....
