Are you feeling a little bit more confident that Richo is doing this stuff compared to Former CEO Fiasco, I mean Pascoe...na stick with Fiasco.

I’d be surprised if rumours about Bateman returning to UK are not true.Expect Richo’s recent trip to UK to have been fruitful & we should receive positive news when he believes it’s apt to make the announcements. However imo Klemmer is going to be harder to shift & if there’s any suitors it will cost us massively as his contract a gift from the degenerate Sheens is toxic.
Speaking of Sheens,
He has somehow turned National Champions Westfields Sports, into one of the worse teams in the Schoolboy Comp.

CAN TIGERS AFFORD TO GIVE BENJI ANOTHER SEASON?

No one in rugby league wants to see Benji Marshall fail.

But it’s becoming increasingly obvious the rebuild at Wests Tigers is simply too big a job for a rookie NRL coach.

Especially one with such a lack of experience even as an assistant.

After snapping a nine-match losing run with wins against the Titans and Raiders, the Tigers have since conceded a whopping 136 points in three straight defeats to the Roosters (40-6), Storm (40-28) and Sharks (56-6).

It just makes you wonder for how much longer veteran administrator Shane Richardson can bury his head in the sand and think this problem will fix itself.

I wrote after the Tigers lost nine straight a coach like Brad Arthur would be ideal to come in and take over while Arthur was still available.

There is no doubt in time Marshall has the credentials to develop into a good coach.

But how much time can the Tigers afford to give is the big question as they close in on a third straight wooden spoon.

I know they get Jarome Luai next year and he will add game management as well as leadership on and off the field.

But if they find themselves sitting down the bottom of the ladder again this time next year, will the club’s unwillingness to make the tough decision come back to bite them even harder?
————————
It’s started.
Though, I think they will give him next season, but after that, if the results are shit, I think he’ll be gone.

I was actually going to post something to this effect but thought no, I don't want to be seen attacking Benji. I do think he needs to go sooner rather than later. Every day he has control is every day a more seasoned coach loses exposure to the players...certainly a new coach must be in place for a pre-season.

The last three weeks, our F/A means we have lost the equivalent of 5 games, we are way behind. The Cronulla game is a good example of Benji's coaching. The Sharks have played to their wingers for years...why didn't our defence recognise this. What game plan was in place and where was plan B when it all went bad. Our game plans have sucked all year.

I love Benji but he isn't hard enough as a coach....buy a smarter more experienced coach otherwise Luai et al will be wasted for a season or two until we do.

Just my thoughts anyway.....

I don't think we can sack Benji. I think it's clear we've had disaster after disaster and we continually blame the coach and it never fixes anything.

If we lose Papali'i, Klemmer, Bateman and Stef this year is it that bad ? These guys should have been guns for us but they've been poor.

I just think our recruitment never seems to work and until we start getting a decent team on the park we'll never improve and sacking the coach doesn't matter.

This is such BS. Typical FoxSports BS.
TBF, I am sick of losing, but I would never abandon the club.
I firmly believe we will turn it around.
I posted an article on the "Club news", about our senior players have continually let us down?
But if we can keep these young blokes, I see us moving forward.

Interesting comments.
A former Tiger for a couple of years, regretted signing with the Tigers as soon as he walked in the door. Basically said that they were the least professional club he’d ever played for. Was fairly damning. While no names were named he even caned the approach of some of his team mates to training etc (pre Benji coaching)

Now I’m no downer for Marshall, Morris or Farah but……. The fact they’ve been in the Tigers system for such a long time, and have probably been a part of those poor standards raises questions. As individuals they probably set their own high standards for themselves, but in positions of leadership you’ve got to drive those standards in everybody, not an easy thing to do. I think the first obvious step is to realise they’re not the players mates. They can’t be afraid of hurting feelings all players must know that they are accountable.

If I were Benji and the club I’d be banning booze, gambling and doing in house drug testing every week for the rest of this season, and driving the boys hard in the gym and on the paddock, not even contemplating winning games, but laying a foundation for next season now and separating the wheat from the chaff. A proper no dickheads policy, any misbehaviour in public absolutely not tolerated. Any stuffing around on the training paddock punished. Train like you should be playing. It shouldn’t be a place for smiles and pal-ing around, save the fun for the dressing room after training.

Agree, but we’ve been doing it for over a decade, with different coaches.
So it’s not just the current coaches.
But it is interesting what Blore was saying, hopefully it’s taken on board.
Will be keen to see what Luia thinks? As I’m sure he will have something to say if it’s not what he expects in the preseason.

Sensitive overpaid lemons at the concord sewer have been getting away for yrs without being held accountable for the couldn’t give a fk excrement they dish out week in week out.The only reason I have any hope is Richo won’t tolerate pathetic substandard mediocrity.Richo will impose the output expectations of professional industry as opposed to the bludging public service mentality the players have displayed in the past.BTW I’ve worked for both the public service & chartered accounting firms & tigers players depict the public service as opposed to the storm/rorters/panthers & WB coached teams who are held to account like in professional industry where its perform or perish.

One day I'll wake up and read nothing but positive stuff about my club. I'm so peeved off about everything.
How hard is it to get some players who run hard and fast, tackle hard, look like athletes and want to play for their club, team mates and fans.
For god sake they get paid for this. We did it for fun.

I’m so pissed off I’ve knocked back a free premium ticket at the game in Gosford offered to me by close mate who is a souths season ticket holder which includes getting driven from Sydney to the game & sitting with mates I haven’t seen in a while.

Geez Ted you should go if not just for your mates sake.
Get on the piss, hurl insults and beer cans at the WT players after they get belted 60-0, get escorted from the ground and spend the night in the lockup. Sounds like a good weekend.
