I liked him as a player and a commentator, he had a good insight into the game.

Used to love his Saturday call on the ABC. Trying to remember but was Johnny Peard sideline eye? Think Artie had a role at some point as well?

Yep Johnny Peard was sideline eye on the ABC with Artie and Warren Boland, that was a great team, think Mike Stephenson had a few stints also in the commentary box , also remember Debbie Spillane at various times doing the sideline eye also.

i was 15 and living in Sydney that year, i flew back home to Tvl for school holidays and that was my first ever home game. My old neighbours were connected at the club and they smuggled me into the change rooms at full time, it was wiiiiiiiiild scenes haha.
