The Warriors are about to embark on their 20th season this year. And although they have a minor premiership and a couple of grand final losses under their belt, they have so far been unable to win the premiership.
They have had quality coaches (Monie, Anderson, Cleary). They have had star players (Jones, Ridge, Wiki, Price, Tate and now Tomkins). They have had the hard grafters (Campion, Luck, Mannering). And the underrated players who carry the team forward (Ngamu, Tony, McKinnon). They have a fortress in Mt Smart Stadium.
Yet they have failed to win the big one. Why? Do they need that 'best in the world' player? Or a supercoach (Bellamy or Hasler?) Is there a rotten culture? Are more seasoned veterans (in the mould of Campion or Luke O'Donnell) necessary? A good run of no-injuries?
What do you think? What has to happen for the Warriors to finally win a premiership?
