What if Jarryd Hayne doesn't make the 49ers cut? Will he return to the NRL?

Jarryd Hayne tweeted a congratulations to JT on his 4 Dally Ms, predicted he would be the next Immortal, and expressed hope that JT would win his ring on Sunday. Jarryd Hayne would never have tweeted a congratulations to Mundine. Jarryd has too much good taste.

Nor would he have done it if he was a current NRL player, too much ego.

This shit human is just drumming up some good PR.

It is a shit game. I dont think he'll be happy staying in the NFL soley as a punt return. His on the field for 3 minutes a game

Agree. It is the most overrated and boring football code on the planet. Sheesh Americans. You could've just kept it as rugby but oh no, you had to turn it into the most ridicules game invented. Like most American sports. Dumb.

Jarryd even if he tops the PR stats for the whole NFL will probably quit next year out of sheer boredom. Compared to last night, NFL is a snooze fest.

Not sure why anybody is worried.

Jarryd is doing fine.

The defense did well...Keeping Green bay to 17 is enough to win.

Glad they stood up.

Offence... geez 6 sacks.

Worst offence after 4 rounds.....

It is a team of rookies with QB not doing so well.

His patience will be rewarded.

That's a pretty widespread opinion outside of the US I think! You have to grow up with it or get into it by playing games like Madden.

Another great performance by the Plane today, should have won the Clive Churchill

The Packers ST coach really rates him. All the Packers punts were short and directed out of bounds or close to the sideline to take Hayne out of the game. That's a lot of respect after 3 games

Ron Zook, the Packers' special teams coach, issued a clarion call to his players last week regarding the strength of the 49ers' kicking game. "Let me tell you something," said Zook. "I told our guys, they're a carbon copy of Seattle. Run. Australian running back Jarryd Hayne, a standout rugby player from 2006-'14, has opened eyes returning punts and could be used on kickoffs. "He's a lot more impressive than you might think," Zook said. "He runs hard, he runs fast, he's strong. It sounds like he could be the kickoff return guy as well.

Jarryd Hayne, by virtue of what he has already achieved in the NFL, has made the Yanks sit up and watch.

Unfortunately he is playing in a very poor team, one that is low in the bottom half of the 32 team NFL. It has only 3 or 4 good players, such as chief running back Carlos Hyde. Unlike the superstar punt/kick returner of years gone by, Devin Hester, who made his debut for the powerful Chicago Bears, Jarryd Hayne gets limited help from his team mates, one of whom actually knocked him over as Jarryd was trying to take a catch.

If Jarryd can keep going in this crap team, and make an impression despite the team quality handicap, he might eventually get taken up by a good team and become a superstar like Devin Hester.

better off going to Union

Nonsense. Jarryd was being well paid in the NRL and would not have been paid a hell of a lot more by transferring to union, which would have bored him to tears in any case. In joining the NFL Jarryd is performing on a much bigger stage than rugby union -- the NFL has over a hundred million viewers every week -- and he has the chance to earn bucket loads of money more than union could offer in his third year.
