How about "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison?
"I Remember You" by Skid Row?
The big ballads were always pretty popular.

"Kickstart My Heart" is still used as background music on pretty much every motor racing news segment. I guess that would make it count.

Which Van Halen song is the one that still gets played on MMM all the time? It's a Hagar-era one...might be "Dreams"?

RJ...I used to have that "other" Europe album on original tape. You're thinking of "Out Of This World", I believe it's called. Actually, I think I've still got it somewhere  It was definitely underrated, sure it didn't have the big singles like "The Final Countdown", but generally the songs were better, with some killer riffs.

Oooooooh Aph, you hit the nail on the head there.......Poison's "Every Rose..." was a heartbreaker and so was Skid Row's "I Remember You" - sadly they don't play those songs much

Yup and you're right that MMM play VH's song "Dreams" all the time

Van Halen - Dreams and Panama go hard

Stryper - To Hell with the Devil was good

How could I forget Panama? Sheesh my brains HAVE turned to mush....

Stryper actually do kick major @$$....they have some awesome riffs, To Hell with the Devil was a huuuuuuuuuuuge album in the US back in its day.....they even did some ballads, Lady to be precise which was pretty cool even considering that most people wouldn't give this band a second chance

If you're talking Hairbands then surely Def Leppard have to rate a mention.

The album Hysteria was one of the biggest selling albums of the year.

Harmonies, guitar riffs and big hair!

Put my vote in for Pour Some Sugar on Me.

 Funny this should be a recent topic, I was listening to Slippery when Wet by Bon Jovi this weekend while on a road trip.

Correct.

Although Sugar isn't in their top 20 songs musically, it has to be the most recognized song of the genre. Lep's music transcended the realms of the shitty label "hair metal". They're one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Now lets get some GnR up in here.....Welcome to the jungle anyone?
