Sherlock Holmes

-Thought it was okay

Sherlock Holmes: Was OK, the fight scenes were FANFREAKINTASTIC, but sadly there wasn't even close to enough of them. While I didn't buy in to the hype it really didn't do much for me.

The slow motion fight scenes were pretty cool, but don't agree on them being 'fanfreaktastic'
A few things that i thought were pretty distracting was the, imo, horrible miscasting of Rachel McAdams. Can't really explain it, but i just wasn't convinced her look was at all suitable.
Whilst i thought Downey Jr was good, he did tend to mumble a bit

the fourth kind- pretty freaky. they reckon the footage they use is real...but thats hard to believe...never-the-less it sh*ts on paranormal activity (although thats not saying much)

invictus: pretty decent i guess....south afridcans have a cool accent.

Luckily for you, fourth kind is purely fiction

The film's trailer states that the story is based on "actual case studies," but did not specify any cases. As a result, much speculation has arisen regarding the search for documented evidence from the actual cases and whether Dr. Abigail Tyler is a real person or a fictional character for use in an internet viral marketing campaign.[5]
On September 1, 2009, an investigation by Noori Grewal and the Anchorage Daily News examined the validity of the film's premise, and its relation to actual disappearances that have occurred in and around the town of Nome. The investigation found no specific events to back up the claims in the film and also revealed that unsolved deaths in Nome are no more frequent than any other small Alaskan town. The consensus is that the high rate of alcoholism combined with the harsh landscape surrounding Nome accounts for a majority of disappearances (just as in other remote areas).[6]
On November 12, 2009 Universal Pictures agreed to a $20,000 settlement with the Alaska Press Club "to settle complaints about fake news archives used to promote the movie." Universal acknowledged that they created fake online news articles and obituaries to make it appear that the movie had a basis in real events.[7]
On November 13th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff: "Universal Pictures has just reached out to us to let us know that the studio was not sued and the money was just a contribution Universal made to the Alaska Press Club. The contribution was not a result of any lawsuit.

I watched this a week or so ago with the other half & since then we have argued over it. She loved it from start to finish, but I thought the first half to 3/4 was great but it seemed the end was rushed & IMO came out weak. Which sh*t me to tears because up until then it was a really good movie.

I thought there was a few short comings, as you mentioned the end felt a bit rushed and just a whole bunch of little things.

But because I hadnt heard of the movie it was a great surprise, all I ever seem to watch these days are the most hyped movies with a storyline youre familiar with.

So Law Abiding Citizen was a cool surprise.

I too saw Law Abiding citizen.

Started fantastic.

The got a bit too far fetched. The courtroom scenes with Butler are great, and a few genuine laughs in prison as well.

I thought the ending tethered off a bit as well, it was still good ending, but compared to the rest of the movie it fell a bit short. It's still one of the best movies I've seen in the last year, Gerard Butler was superb in it. It was an intelligent script which makes a good change from the usual drivel hollywood pops out

The Blind Side: Watched this yesterday after Superbowl-ing & have to say it'll be close to my movie of 2010. It's a moralistic drama which doesn't normally get my attention but the story behind the movie is a good one. The script takes some definite liberties & Oher himself admits he wasn't exactly happy with the way he was portrayed. But all in all I think this is a pretty good flick & well worth watching.

Avatar: I thought it was ok. I didn't think it was great, but it was ok. I can understand that all the special effects and animation would make it the most expensive movie ever made, but I did think the storyline could've been improved. I like the concept though. That was good. I can see the storyline continuing into a sequel, but it's probably something I wouldn't see.

ah sh*t i was about to watch the road. why was it boring simmo?

Its just not my type of movie, absolutely no action the whole way through. When I read "Man and son fight off cannibal gangs" in the blurb, I expected a little bit more...
