Yeah, also Morgan Freeman. Only saw half the trailer, so wasn't quite sure what the general premise was, but piqued my interest anyway.

Finally watched Movie 43 last night, holy crap that is some craaaazy sh!t!!! As I had read back when it came out, was a definite case of the trailer being way funnier than the film, but while it was a terrible movie, there were some literal laugh-out-loud moments (particularly the Leprechaun scene) amongst all the WTF-cringe!

Beowulf. The animated one from a few years back. I remember a lot of the advertising for it being around Angelina Jolie but she's hardly in it. It wasn't too bad. Pretty violent, being animated I wasn't expecting that. 6/10

Noah. Obviously has a ridiculous story since it's based on early Old Testament, but also has a lot of heavy themes about human life and it's effect on nature, which you can expect from Aronofsky. It questions the morality of the story as well, and it's very clear it's telling a fictional story.
I loved the scene where Noah narrates the 6 days of creation, but on screen it shows the expansion of the universe, the creation of Earth and evolution instead.

7.5/10

Noah. Mmm yeah it was ok. I'm not religious and I don't really know the full Biblical story but it seemed too over the top for me. Was more like Lord of the Rings than a Bible story.
Glad I saw it but don't think I'd watch it again.

that bad?

has Clooney ever acted in, directed, or written anything worth noting, ever? the bloke is that overrated its criminal.

He may not be the best actor alive, but he isn't bad. A few good films (in my opinion) that he has been involved in over the last few years: Good Night and Goodluck, The Ides of March, Gravity.

For the fisrt two I mentioned, he was on screen for both (though not in the lead roles - David Strathairn and Ryan Gosling had those), had a hand in writing them, and directed both of them.

Saw Captain America: The Winter Solidier last night. Reviews on this movie are spot on. It is a very good movie that will keep you glued to the screen the whole way through. Enough twists and turns mixed in with the action that it was very enjoyable. Had the obligatory mid-end credits and post-end credits scenes too.

Cloontang has been in heaps of good shit (in response to the nay sayers):

O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Burn After Reading
The Men Who Stare at Goats
Ocean's Eleven (we'll omit the sequels...)
Three Kings
The Thin Red Line
From Dusk Till Dawn
Gravity

Ocean's 13 was ok, less said about Ocean's 12 though the better. I forgot about him being in The Thin Red Line.

The reviews I've read are on the money, I thought it was pretty damn good
