Full Metal Jacket for the first time in ages. The first 40 minutes are perfect filn making.

I remember watching this in the cinema. Great impact.

For most of the movie he was being chased and hunted down by his own employers who were ... American. Of whose strategy he wasn't agreeing with from the beginning anyway. It was very much about his own personal ideals.

But hey I'm not surprised that none of that went into your head.

Good movie, much better than the other part two Marvel moves and Iron Man 3

Got a few movies lined up to watch this week, ones that I've had recommended from various mates but just never got around to seeing : Prisoners, Insidious, Fisher King, Rampart, Quiz Show.

Quiz Show is a great movie.
I haven't seen it in ages, but you just reminded me to watch it again.

Prisoners is also excellent. But it's not the most cheerful movie.

Finally caught Godzilla today- I can see why it had the mixed reviews but I personally quite enjoyed it.

Edge of Tomorrow - Cruise's vulnerability made this film for me, for once he isn't the top dog leading man the whole time. Was good seeing Paxton again in a big film, he has more lined up too.

Emily Blunt in warrior chic.. aww yeah.

Agree this was surprsingly good, a Groundhog Day & Starship Troopers love child could have been bombed so easily

I'd say more Source Code meets Starship Troopers.

Yeah, it's not perfect. It has some problems.

But I still love it. I can understand why others don't like it much, but the immense hatred for this movie just boggles my mind.

I would go with donnie darko meets starship troopers meets looper.

The ending is just open to interpretation though, any number of things could happen after that ending.

So because cage killed an omega did regain the ability to reset time again? And that's why he went back? But why was everyone who died alive if all the mimics are dead?

Guessing cause the omegas blood went into cage, he was able to reset time again. But if a dead cage can reset time, why can't a dead alpha or omega? Arg movies about time travel can boggle the mind.

The omega is the brains, while I think only the Alpha can re-set time.
Even though they're in separate bodies, they're all one organism. But since the omega is the brains, once it is killed then they all die, alphas, mimics everything

Amazing story, really well told. You need to appreciate a coming of age movie but this one of the best. Had me close to tears a few times...clever, well filmed and genuine
