What Movies Have You Seen III

Was talking about starship troopers today in a group chat. It's a shame the 3 sequels didn't live up to the original. Ridiculous that the combined budget of the sequels is about 50 million when the original had a budget of about $100million.

Also just recently read an article that they plan on remaking the original.
I saw the 2nd one but that's it, it wasn't too good. But I know Johnny Rico returned for a sequel so I might check it out one day.

Remake would be interesting but they would probably make it more in the vain of the original novel, not necessarily a bad thing (I've not read it) but I've heard it's very different to the first movie.

Starship troopers. Can't believe it's nearly 20 years old, I remember seeing this at the cinemas. Still holds up and is a very good movie.

Must get around to re-watching this. For some reason its a movie I rarely ever use to see for sale on dvd/blu ray.

I loved Starship Troopers, remember the awesome trailer with Blur's Song 2 pulled me in and the over the top action and bewwwbs made me a fan as a raging teen!

Was gutted not to see Rico & Diz when they came to NZ for the Armageddon Expo a coupla years back.

Agree that it would make a great series too, a remake I wouldn't roll my eyes at.

Hunt for the wilderpeople. Really enjoyed this NZ movie. Plenty of laughs. About a "gangster" 13 year old kid who is put into a foster home out in the bush.
The director of this has been doing the new Thor movie out this year too.

I remember that ad too. The reason I went and saw it. Seen one sequel where they are trapped at an outpost and bugs start to take over people's minds. Has the captain who got crushed by the door in the first one that magically cane back to life. Which sequel is that?

That's the 1st sequel Hero of the Federation. That's the one I've seen and I completely forgot what it was about until I read your rundown and it reminded me. Apparently the next one Marauder is a bit better.
