What Movies Have You Seen III

It looks to me like it might have a similar theme to the movie The Wrestler.

The Wrestler is way more grounded in reality though, Birdman is very surrealistic and has so many layers to it.

Got my vote for best picture, original screenplay, actor and possibly a few more

American Sniper. Quietest i can ever remember a cinema being when the credits rolled and ended.

Very good movie.

One thing though is how bad was the baby in that nursery scene with his wife. Meant to be an emotional moment and all I could think was that is tne worst fake baby, possibly fake anything, i have seen.

They are talking Keaton's performance in Birdman as one likely to get him the Best Actor Oscar. It is, in my opinion going to be a tough field this year in that category as there have been so many good performances by various actors.

Watched a stack of them on the last week.

American sniper - wasn't just a standard merikah f*@k yeah movie and was a great depiction of a story I had read about previously.

Wolf of wall Street - stuck to the book pretty well which was great as the story is crazy enough as it is get the standard Hollywood rapin...creative twists made to It. someone could have told me it goes for 3 hours.

Ichi the killer - world movies is going to make me need counseling.

Last Vegas - loved it, hilarious. shows how good these guys ranges are.

I thought the same thing about the baby. Couldn't stop thinking about how stupid it looked.

As for the cinema being quiet at the end, there was no music during the end credits. I can't remember another movie which has done that. I guess that kind of made people not want to talk or make noise.

Top 5, Chris Rocks new one, really quite good!

Kind of like a funny, black culture Birdman ..... But not :?

Wolf of Wall Street, again.

Saw it at the cinemas when it first came out, I hyped the shit out of it to myself but it's middle of the road compared to other Scorsese films.

Way too many filler scenes and not enough meat in the script, which is probably because 3/4 of Belfort's book is full of shit.

wolf of wall street was nothing more than a comedy, it was no surprise when Leo missed out on the Oscar again.

Kingsman: The Secret Service

Quite a good action/comedy. Found it strange seeing Colin Firth kicking so much arse

What we did on our holiday.

Loved it. Its in a similar mould to Little Miss Sunshine, but funnier and more poignant. The tragedy in it doesn't linger as it is ambished by the comedy. I very much liked this film.

Gone Girl. Kept me wondering throughout. Very good movie. Wish it didn't end the way it did though, for the characters sake. 8.5/10.

And how were they? Was thinking about seeing as below with my duaghter.

Watched Kingsman Friday and enjoyed it a lot.

Saw Chef Sat night and can't see why rotten tomatoes rated it so high. Wife picked 90% of the story in first 15 mins. Should have turned it off then.

Really?

I didn't mind it, I thought it was a good light hearted road movie!

Pretty Funny at points.

Jon Favreau is a smart director, not so much because of the movie, more because he got Sophie Vegara and Scarlett Johannasen as his female leads!

I wasn't a massive fan of the ending to Gone Girl either actually, it wrapped it up a bit too cleanly without any real punch. Still a very good movie.

Dale and Tucker vs Evil. Good fun send up on the classic teenagers getting killed in a cabin in the woods movies. Don't watch the trailer for it, basically gives it all away. Just see it.
7/10
