What Movies Have You Seen III

I saw The Theory of Everything on Sunday. It is about the life of Stephen Hawking and his relationship with his wife. It is based on the book "Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen" by Jane Hawking. I found it a very entertaining yet moving movie. Very good performances from Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones in the lead roles. Definitely not mawkish nor over the top movie, but I found it in parts interesting, funny and moving.

I'd give it at least an 8/10.

With Redmayne's performance, I can see it will be a very hot field with him, Cumberbatch and Keaton for the Best Actor Oscar.

I think there could have been more of a build up on his athletic career and less time floating in a raft or in the camp and it wouldn't have weakened the movie's impact

It is undoubtedly a great and remarkable story though and it is definitely worth watching.

Are we talking about the same movie? I thought you were talking about the movie with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson?

i can't remember clearly, but didn't one of these movies have credits in silence as well
the imitation game
gone girl
unbroken

I can't recall either.
I haven't seen Unbroken, but I think the other two had something over the credits.
For some reason I'm picturing another Eastwood movie - maybe Mystic River.

44% rotten tomatoes, 3.3 IMDB rating, its copping it alright.

It was being roasted long before the movie even came out.

Gotta feel sorry for the actors and crew behind the movie, it would take a miracle to save the dodgy source material and all the bad press.

I think the only thing I hated about that movie was Johnny Depp.
His character seemed to be from a completely different movie. Wasn't the least bit funny either.

Will make a shitload of money though.
Pretty much the same as the book - crap reviews, but the female population still eats it up.

when i came out of the cinema (when i watched the gambler), there were females everywhere there to watch that 50 shades movie. it was an invasion
