Just finished watching The Exorcist on NITV. The only other time I've seen it was at the cinema when it came out in 1974. Linda Blair was brilliant as was Ellen Burstyn. Blair was only 14 when it was made.

Keep an eye out for upcoming movies on NITV. They sometimes screen some real classics.
Was it edited ? remember in the 80s when it was shown on TV it was cut to shreds and didn't make sense. I have the blu ray of the extended directors cut and also the original theatrical version, will have to watch it again, it is one that i would watch by myself as the better half doesn't want to watch.

Yes NITV have been showing some real classics of late.

Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny.
First 20mins is really good. The rest has some good moments, but is a bit drawn out with some meaningless characters that come and go in a flash and the ending isn’t really satisfying.
I liked it but it doesn’t live up to the first 3.

I saw The Flash last week. Whilst its not masterpiece, it is certainly nowhere near as dire as some reviewers would have you believe. It kept me entertained thru its 144 minute run time without me finding any of it boring.

My only issue was some of the SFX were below par in my opinion, especially the SFX to show Barry running at superspeed. It was like watching the slow mo of The Six Million Dollar Man running whilst the distance covered is sped up. Also his running pose looks more like what you'd expect from a ballet dancer and not a runner.

I genuinely don't know how the VFX can be so bad when they had essentially an extra year to work on it.

I haven't really seen the bad reviews, but the early nerd reviews were so fawning that I think they balance each other out. It's a good film but nowhere near the hype of those early reviews, and I assume nowhere near as bad as the bad reviews. One of the better ones of the Snyderverse version of the DCEU.

Ezra Miller was good in it, as was obviously Keaton.

I liked it. Was too long though, but that is the same of every recent blockbuster style movie (Flash, Guardians, Fast something, Spiderverse). I'm not a huge Indy fan though so my expectations were probably a lot lower than the diehards.

I thought the de-aging was the best I've seen then listened to the Empire podcast and they were saying it wasn't that good, go figure, still the best for me, I genuinely thought it could have been old footage.

Sisu 7. All the best bits are in the trailer. But too much hero who can't die BS, and without it could have been an 8.

Cocaine Bear. 7.5. For a mindless movie it did it in an entertaining fashion.

I watched it today hoping for the best but fearing the worst. I consider part four to be the most disappointing cinema experience of my life. Expectations v reality were vastly different....horrific film.

Im pleased to say that I really enjoyed the 5th entry. I actually didn't recognize Antonio Banderas in this movie. I only knew he was in it when the final credits rolled though. I matched him up in my head about who he was.
I agree with you about the ending though.....the impact that they hoped to get just did not come through....they missed the mark with it.....they obviously went for a Val Kilmer/Maverick type moment.

I give it a solid three out of five though. It doesn't hit the mark of the first three but heaps better than that steaming pile of shit called "The Crystal Skull".

Sicario - classic, Benicio Tel Toro is the GOAT in this.

I'm not sure of Fast X is a good or bad movie, but I think it's the most movie I'll see this year.

Agree with you on Momoa, the spoiler didn't shock me, I expected it at some stage, the mid credits one was more of a shock actually.

I hope they end it with an Endgame style big battle where everyone even tangentially related comes back.

it's a horrible movie, fast series needs to burn out with paul walker

Some have said Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the problem, i didnt think so. It's just an 80 year old man being dragged around to a bunch of places he'd rather not be. Reminds me of John McLean's character in the last Die Hard films, gone is the wise cracking cop and it's just a sad old Bruce Willis. A great opening then just a depressing film with 15 minute car chases thrown in.

I was wondering what Brad Pitt was doing at Silverstone.

Turns out he is doing a F1 movie directed by Joseph Koszinski, it's basically Top Gun Maverick except with F1 cars.

was forced to watch Don't Worry Darling - what an unoriginal nothing movie...

I bought the staff gift card boxes which included Hoyts vouchers. The ladies in the office insisted I came to watch that movie.

I spent more time in the lobby looking at work emails then watching the movie itself.

Oppenheimer must be screening soon. Hopefully it will be faithful to the history and not adulterated by that steaming heap of shit called Hollywood.

It'll be the first movie I've seen at the cinema since John Carter (refer above to a steaming heap of shit). Got to be close to 15 years ago.

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1.
Pretty much what you’d expect from this franchise, great action, some thrills and Tom Cruise running.
It might be due to the fact I did an early work shift before seeing this but it did feel a little long. First 2 acts were great but the 3rd act lost my attention a bit at times.
Still, a good time at the movies.
