Oppenheimer.
Amazing movie. Beautifully made, with some great performances and gorgeous to look at.
May not be for everyone as it is long, there’s a lot of dialogue and it’s edited non-linear, but I loved it.
My best of the year so far.

Going to see Oppenheimer tomorrow. Didn't realise it was sooo long. Three hours!

Awesome film, it was dragging out after nearly 3 hours as you said.

Oppenheimer was very good, looked amazing and the acting was top notch. Just thought there was amazing two hour movie in there. After the trinity test it just seemed to drag on a bit.

It’s engaging and interesting it was the only the end when it dragged out for me but that could also be I had a large Pepsi and needed to pee badly

I had a small coke and was actually so engaged in the movie I hardly drank any of it. Which was good so I didn’t have to pee during it either.

I digress, I watched Manhattan the series on maybe Netflix, thought it was good.

Barbie was good, Vietnam was upset about the map not US politicians - right wing US politicians are just doing their usual hissy fit because it's not about how great white men are ... Also, should be banned in NZ too, we don't even make the map.

One of the actors from Manhattan plays a similar role in Oppenheimer. It was on a weird TV channel in the US at the time when all channels were getting into drama - just before the streamers completely took over. IIRC the main actor in it was an Aussie.

Oppenheimer was incredible. The build up to the trinity test, the way it played out, and the aftermath were perfect filmmaking. The cast was ridiculous.

Top 3 Nolan movie for mine with Inception and The Prestige (as much as I adore The Dark Knight and Interstellar).

He and Villeneuve remain the best filmmakers in Hollywood today IMO.

Luther . Loved the series, character and Idris's portrayal of him, but that was wildly disapointing. Can't believe there is talk of a sequel

Dude I know you're on your hatefest of Disney, but the Spiderman's are good because of Marvel's input. Sony almost killed the movie version of the character with the terrible Amazing Spiderman movies.

lol it’s a Sony movie, yes Marvel have input but if it was made by Marvel Doc Oc would of been played by Nicole Kidman and Green Goblin would of been played by Denzal Washington.


The MCU was created by Paramount and since Disney have taken over they have ran it into the ground. Just like Star Wars or any other property they get their hands on. But yeah Disney are awesome!!
