Focus.

Decent enough movie, but I kept getting distracted anytime Margot Robbie was on screen. f**king hell that chick is beautiful!
Some silly plot twists, but entertaining enough.

6 out of 10.

I don't think it close to as bad as Spider-Man 3.

It didn't have dancing/emo Peter. It didn't have some of the worst dialogue ever put on film (the Aunt May speech about marriage). It didn't have one of the worst plot devices ever put on film (the butler knew all along that Spidey was innocent).
I could think of more, but it's late and I don't want to remember any of it anymore.

 Dancing emo Pete.

Yeah Spiderman 3 got a LOT wrong, worst of all was shoving in Venom where he didn't belong... Raimi didn't want him but the studios did apparently.

But there was still some pretty good stuff in there:
- Sandman's birth, and his first spidey fight.
- Dark Pete had his moments (taunting Eddie Brock and Harry)
- JK Simmons is always a hoot
- A potentially interesting love triangle

If we threw away Venom and kept it to the Harry arc + Sandman, it could have been awesome.

Some of the stuff in TAS2 was just as bad, along with moments of good.

The whole Rhino arc was just ridiculous, DeHaan's Harry jumped around between Edward Cullen to full Nicolas Cage, Electro was given some horrible dialogue and no motivation.

Both movies were about equal for me, lots of potential but poorly done in the end.

Took my son to see Jurassic World.
I'm not a great fan of the previous Jurassic movies but got to say I really enjoyed this one.
Special effects were great, dinosaurs appeared lifelike.
It's not brain surgery but a good way to spend a couple of hours relaxing.
8.5/10.

Too right.
Fantastic movie. Expertly directed (especially from a debut director), good pacing, story structure. Spot on acting.
It doesn't even matter if you can see the 'twist' coming. It's not about that. The movie doesn't rely on a twist to make it entertaining. It's just telling a story.

Aragon has no idea. This is a great movie. Do yourself a favour and watch it.

You guys were spot on, saw it yesterday and it was very good.

The twist wasn't the point, the movie asked interesting, thought provoking questions.
All the characters were a nice shade of grey.

Sabotage - with Schwarzenegger.

Better than I expected. Not afraid to drop a few F bombs and show some blood, actually, a lot of blood, which you don't get too often these days.
I feel they didn't really know how to end the movie but it kept me entertained from go to whoa.

Side note, I noticed at the end the guy who directed this also directed Fury, which I loved, and is making Suicide Squad which gives me even more hope for that one.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 - Nothing on the original. Disappointed.
Ex Machina - Odd, but not too bad at all. Would recommend.
Jurassic World x2 - Going in for 3rd time this weekend.

These Final Hours. Good end of the world Aussie flick. Liked the main actor and there was some pretty moving scenes. 7/10.

The Conjuring. Pretty scary and I was tearing up during the final "showdown". I'm pretty impressed with James Wan as a director and can't wait for his Aquaman. 7.5/10

Chappie - went into it not expecting much, but jeese it turned out to be a very good movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Raises the ethical debate about what is conciousness and when is something alive or dead etc etc.

Jupiter ascending - 3/10. Still not too sure what it was about, a whole lot of things happening with not much substance. Terrible acting and Sean bean didn't die.

Ex Machina, very good but feels like it was missing something from making it really amazing. 8/10

Chappie. This was so close to be a great movie. I just wish they went a different direction for the main plot of the film. After watching it I just kept thinking how if they'd done this or done that it would've been so much better.
6/10.

Ex Machina - Brilliant stuff. Really compelling, well acted, and has a terrifically non Hollywood resolution too. 8.5/10
