What Movies Have You Seen III

I thought it was a good idea for a 30 minute TV show.
Bloody boring over the running time of a feature-length movie. And the twist that everyone saw coming was completely stupid.
Also, Jessica Alba is not a good actress.
She has been in exactly ONE good movie. Ever. Having Alba in your movie is a sure sign that it is not of good quality.

The Beaver, with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster.

Weird, moving movie about a man with depression who, after reaching breaking point, finds a puppet beaver who he communicates through with an alter ego.

While I think Mel is a bit of a nut, he is one of the best actors I've seen. Would've been interesting to see how Mad Max Fury Road turned out if he was involved. Might've been his way back into the publics good books, maybe.

Entourage - 2 Hr special episode pretty much, loved the series and loved the movie. Ari is the best character by far

American Sniper

Good movie but disappointing to learn that the real Chris Kyle was a bit of a prick.

Deathgasm - NZ heavy metal splatter flick, f**king hilarious, must see for metalheads, fans of Braindead/Bad Taste and b-grade 80s horror movies.

Just watched Entourage, loved the series, watched it 5 times over and still do whenever it comes on Fox, was underwhelmed by the movie though. Would have preferred a season 9 as opposed to the movie.

Anyone else think the texans kid, (Hayley Joel Osmont) had a super punchable face??

Hayden Christiansen is poison, worst actor ever.

If you're basing that on Star Wars then that's a bit unfair because Lucas managed to suck all the life out of Liam Neeson, McGregor, Portman, Jake the Muss, Saruman, General Zod, Samuel L. Jackson (!)

Christiansen's mistake was actually *trying* to emote the horrendous dialogue, instead of phoning it in like everyone else.

Not saying he's a great actor, but nobody could save that script.

Watching Eurotrip again for first time in a while, still bloody funny, worthy successor to Road Trip (which I'll also have to watch again).

Finally caught Road Trip again for the first time in years last night, watched with a few like-minded mates/flatties (including one who was too young to have seen it when it was released in 2000) - haven't laughed like that in a while (brought me back to watching it at the cinema with mates in my first year at university).

Good therapy after a mind-numbingly busy day at work and overindulgent feed at Denny's yesterday (too much pancakes!)

Barry's obsession with the mouse and the snake is possibly the greatest set of comedic scenes put to screen. (may be an exaggeration but it felt like that last night!)

The Amazing Spiderman 2 (finally)

A horrible mish mash of good ideas gone nowhere, a shame because all the performances were good (Paul Giamatti aside... wtf). Shouldn't have bothered with Electro and focused instead of Harry-Peter but go somewhere different as it's already been done.

Equal if not worse than Spiderman 3.

Godzilla (2014)

It was too slow for my taste. I'd heard that the film cuts away from the monster fights too much and I'd have to agree, each time you think you're gonna get some monster v monster action it cuts back to the human story.
I know the director of this is going to be making Star Wars Rogue One and I'm a bit less optimistic about it after having seen this, but still hopeful.

Yeah, I agree with this.

I don't think it close to as bad as Spider-Man 3.

It didn't have dancing/emo Peter. It didn't have some of the worst dialogue ever put on film (the Aunt May speech about marriage). It didn't have one of the worst plot devices ever put on film (the butler knew all along that Spidey was innocent).
I could think of more, but it's late and I don't want to remember any of it anymore.
