I felt like the only person on the planet who didn't get much out of Tropic Thunder. It had a couple of moments... but on the whole, extremely forgettable.

I'm absolutely with you mate. One of the most overrated movies of the last 20 years. I simply do not get the appeal. The only thing I liked was the Tom Cruise role.

I have not seen the first Zoolander either. The new one looks like overdone crap to me.

He was by far the worst part of it.
Tropic Thunder was an ok comedy, with some hilarious parts equalled out with some pretty flat parts (the tom cruise and Jack black parts)

Cruise was hilarious in it, and it'd be easy to not recognise him in it, he looked totally different.

For the record I think Tropic Thunder is good, not a masterpiece though. I just think it's Stillers best work.

I thought Tom Cruise was terrible in Tropic Thunder too. It was like a bad SNL skit.

Also I thought Cruise was good in his role in Tropic Thunder (which as a whole was meh) because it was a role so different then what you would expect him to play it made it appealing.

All the praise he got for the role seemed to go to his head though and then the sad thing was like two years later at some awards ceremony when he dressed up as the same character and did a skit which was no longer relevant and proved to be an epic fail.

As soon as the opening credits appear you know you're in for something special.

A small part of me actually wanted to hate this movie because I think Ryan Reynolds is a smug merkin..

It is just brilliant though, really really f**king awesome.

If you don't enjoy this film there is something wrong with you, go see a doctor.
