The Conjuring 2 - Decent...Nowhere near as scary as the first imo. Alot more jump-scares though to the point where it becomes tedious. Once the missus pointed out that the demon looked like Marilyn Manson I couldn't take it seriously anymore...

So... I watched all 3 of the Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuild movies back to back on the weekend.

I did it twice.

... and I'm probably going to do it again tonight. Hideaki Anno is a true artistic genius. I could easily count on one hand the number of TV shows I would consider to be a true masterpiece work of art... Evangelion is one of them. The amount of depth in theme, story, lore and character is unrivalled by shows that have 10x as many episodes. The fact that people are, some 20 odd years later, still deciphering everything the original series offered is a testament to that fact.

Criminal - I enjoyed the concept of the movie, felt it missed its mark though. I thought Kevin Costner played his role really well. Worth a watch tho

Watched Jason Bourne last night. I liked it, but much more a brainless action movie than the others. Pretty much the same components as the other movies with Bourne, the evil old school CIA guy, the CIA person who doesn’t agree with his methods, the trailing asset….etc. Story-wise I don’t think it holds up with the other 3. Entertaining none the less.

I've heard it has gotten really good responses from people despite its poor box office showing.

Would you say it's OK for a 3.5 year old?

I took my 6 and 2.5 year old girls. There was a couple of things that I thought might be scary for my little one, I looked over and she was asleep. I asked my older one if she was scared at all and she said "Naaaah".

You should be right.

Thanks for the feedback mate. I think I'll take her to her first movie.

eddie the eagle - not bad, other half had never heard of him and enjoys stuff based on true stories and managed to not fall asleep while it was on which is always a good rating

I watched Blazing Saddles the night before Gene Wilder passed away.

Did I have a psychic episode?

Anyway the movie is so politically incorrect by today's standards that it is funny...absolutely hilarious to be honest. I did actually see it as a kid at the cinema though.

We used to do family holiday car trips in the 1980's and quoted the movie from start to finish.

Considering the video was on the top shelf and not meant to have been seen by my brother and I, I think we gave ourselves away.

However, Blazing Saddles is my favourite comedy of all time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - out of the shadows

Awesome. But I like TMNT. These TMNT movies are exactly the same as transformers, exact same CGI but there are ninja turtles instead of transformers so they are always going to be nothing but awesome.

She loved it! Absolutely loved it, and to be honest, so did i, and so did the wife.

Heart wrenching ending though. Too much for a 3.5 year old to understand.
The shamisen cover of 'while my guitar gently weeps' was amazing.
