Inside Man (2006) directed by Spike Lee.

Has a cracking cast of Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, Christopher Plummer, Willem Dafoe and Chiwetel Ejiofor

The movie starts with narration by Clive Owen about how he committed the perfect robbery of a Manhattan bank in New York. Washington and Ejiofor are the detectives on the case and in charge of negotiations with the robbers over their hostages, Plummer is the Chairman of the board of director of the bank, Foster the lawyer hired as a behind the scenes bargainer between the board and the robbers, whilst Dafoe is the head of the special operations unit.

I caught this on Foxtel and it is an incredibly good film with enough to keep you guessing about what happened and who was actually involved and what the aim of the robbery was.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good thriller/who dunnit.
I saw this last night on your recommendation. Very crafty movie. I must say that Im not drawn into heist movies at all but Hollywood rarely does a bad job with them. Through the decades, there have been some absolute fantastic ones. This movie is no exception to that rule. 3 out of 5.

"Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (70s version) is another one I saw. What a bloody fantastic movie it is. The dark mood of the film is incredible and the actors are amazing. 5 out of 5

Judas and the Black Messiah 8.5. Well acted and an interesting story about the Black Panthers in Chicago during the 60's.

Based on a true story, and I like to hope that they embellished lots of it but I wouldn't be sure.

Zack Snyder's Justice League - I barely remember the original cut of this, it was so bland and by the numbers. This version is like 4 hours long and still has many of the same problems as the original in that its boring and looks like a video game more than a film.

There's a bunch of confusing Epilogue scenes at the end - one where Batman has a nightmare and he talks to the Joker (Jared Leto I think?) its actually the most interesting thing in the whole film. Sets up a potentially interesting sequel i guess.

Half in the bag has done a review to this movie and it sounds very similar to yours.

I would much rather watch their review to a comic book movie that I will never watch a million years. I saw enough of it in the review to know that it’s not for me.

The impossible. Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, and Tom Holland.
Emotional, true drama about a family during the 2004 tsunami.
This hit me way more than I expected. Great performances and direction which really puts you in the middle of a tsunami and the aftermath.
One particular scene with Ewan McGregor, wow!

Willys Wonderland

Nicolas Cage vs serial killers reincarnated as amusement park Disney characters

good harmless gore. Cage still got it with being the cool guy.

Paranormal Activity

A movie that has been around for a while but was never really interested in actually seeing. I thought it was a made for teens throwaway type horror stuff. Boy, was I wrong. By far and away, the scariest movie I have seen in a bloody long time. Some people are not fans of the cam footage type movie. I ABSOLUTELY loved it!

Another oldie that I had managed to avoid until last night, John Carpenters The Thing. I was pleasantly surprised. One of the few movies of that ilk that I've enjoyed.

American Psycho = It was okay.......very, very overrated by some. Good dialogue and a good performance by Bale......it was a crappy type ending though...missed that climatic moment. 3 out of 5.

It comes out at night = Another okay movie. Very bleak, great build up....then suffered from another crappy ending. 3 out of 5.
