Vengeance. 6/10. Had the bones of a good movie but some choices at the end just didn't gel.

Weird 5. Alternate universve type doco on Weird Al. Harry Potter was quite good in it but just didn't land for me, and wifey lasted a bit over half into it.

Bodies Bodies Bodies. 7. Reasonably standard horror/thriller/who is the killer but a good end lifted it.

The Stranger. 8-8.5. Slow burn, sometimes painfully slow. In fact wife made me turn it off which affected the viewing a bit but glad I went back to it. Once it becomes clear what the story is about I found it compelling. Well acted.

Barbarian (2022). What a strangely produced movie.....it was like it was produced by two different production crews.

The first act was incredibly tight and interesting. I watched it alone at my place and it did creep me out. The second act was passable but the third act was just pure crap. By the start of the third act, I was not scared at all due to the crash in quality of the film. A shame.

2 star film which really began with a 4 out of 5 star start.

Saw the new Mario movie this afternoon and had a blast. Very fun face paced movie with the references from the Mario games that were great nostalgia bait. Also very faithful with respect for the fans and source material, Disney and Amazon should take note.

Would recommend

So both these movie's were successful both critically and financially but I honestly thought they were absolute duds.

Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Nope.

Cleopatra a great fim but it nearly broke Fox studios 31 million dollars for 1963 was pretty high at the time.

The art was something else.

The Pope's exorcist - it's worth just seeing rusty on top of a vespa but decent horror movie
Air - ok biopic

I was trying to keep the true story part a surprise. When I worked that out it really elevated it for me.
