lol it’s a Sony movie, yes Marvel have input but if it was made by Marvel Doc Oc would of been played by Nicole Kidman and Green Goblin would of been played by Denzal Washington.

The MCU was created by Paramount and since Disney have taken over they have ran it into the ground. Just like Star Wars or any other property they get their hands on. But yeah Disney are awesome!!
Bro, then stop watching Disney stuff. 😂All you seem to do is watch their stuff and then complain about how crap it is then watch their stuff again.

Also, Disney acquired Marvel in 2009. Paramount only owned the distribution rights to the Marvel movies until 2011 they didn't create the MCU, Marvel Studios made the movies (the Hulk was distributed by Universal). Of the four they released in that time two of them Thor and Iron Man 2, are hardly outstanding examples of the genre.

Bro bro bro!! Classic Disney Stan. I can watch what I like and comment on what I like. You don’t like it put me on ignore.

Consume product and wait for next product.

If you can’t see the quality of Marvel has fallen off a cliff since End game I can’t help you.

I really enjoyed GOTG 3 but that’s a throwback from a bloke who has joined the competition. Disney marvel is ded.

Don't get me wrong, I find your rants entertaining, I just can't fathom why you do it to yourself.

Call me a Disney stan if you like, I take each movie on their merits, and if they reach the bar of entertaining me then all good. One of the worst movies of the past decade for me has been a Disney one - The Rise of Skywalker, it ties with Zac Snyders' borefest league in my awful blockbuster style movies list.

Despite your complaining about them running it into the ground, they also made it - every movie from Avengers to Endgame, which is unarguably Marvels peak, was Disney. If Disney can't make it work after Endgame, maybe nobody can?

Watched Sympathy for the Devil .
if you like Nic Cage it’s quite an enjoyable movie.
Yes he’s plays his usual unhinged character…but it’s toned down slightly compared to some of his movies.
The story keeps you guessing & although a few plot holes is well acted.
I gave it a 6.5/10

on the Nic Cage gauge ..7.5/10

Those people responsible for setting up the MCU, and even the movies from Avengers to Endgame are all gone. Faverau, Gunn, Whedon and the Russo bros. All gone replaced by a bunch of nobodies who actively hate the source material.

All that’s left is Feige and he’s proven to be an absolute fraud. Otherwise absolute Dross like She Hulk and Secret Invasion wouldn’t have been made I think super hero might movies might be on the way out and Marvel and DC are accelerating that by bringing out absolute shit.

Haha, this is why I like your rants. I 100% don't agree with it though but always entertaining.

Considering what Faverau did with the Book of Boba Fett I'm not even sure he's up to shepherding through this phase of Marvel.

Not sure DC are accelerating it, the DCEU was always shit outside of the odd movie.

Going on a date to see the Barbie movie.

Im not expecting much but I will look forward to the choc top and overpriced snacks.

Might even wear the pink polo top my girlfriend bought me but have never worn.

Firstly are you saying that a Faverau had absolutely nothing to do with the early success of the MCU?? The guy who directed Iron man and insisted that RDJ play Tony Stark?? That movie bombs there is no MCU. Secondly Lucasfilm is an utter clusterf**k I don’t know how anyone can produce anything of quality atm. Look at Mangold and the horrible Indy Dial of Dementia and Mangold is a quality director.

And what about the rest?? All of those people gone did they have nothing to do with the success of the MCU either?? I think Super hero movies are on the wane but how hard is it to do a decent Superman movie???

Faverau is incredibly underrated. His movies actually have substance, even if it is just a comic book franchise.

Iron Man had the emotional story arcs that compliments the expected action. It was very well balanced and that movie propelled the franchise.

If it was shit, RDJ would be doing movies like Due Date :)

No, of course not, I'm discussing his equivalent recent creative output. Also, him and Filoni have huge creative control at Lucasfilm for the stuff they're making, let's not pretend otherwise. I'm a fan of Faverau but Boba is a huge turd of his and Filoni's making too and the flack that S3 of Mando got can be laid at his feet too (I didn't mind S3 but I was never in the this is the greatest thing ever with Mando. Andor shits over them all).

Personally I don't think the Russo's or Whedon could make Marvel stuff after Endgame to please the people who don't like Marvel anymore. There will be the odd one that pleases those people - like Guardians, but I think the landscape has changed.

As for Superman, it was Snyder so what did you expect? I'm sure Gunn will make a decent fist of it, and maybe we'll have a proper DCU era of good movies while Marvel languishes a bit.

TBH, the more you post the more confused I am that you don't just stop watching. Hate watching can't be good for the soul, I did it for too long with The Walking Dead and when I finally quit I wondered why I didn't do it earlier.

Poltergeist ( 1982 ). I was flicking the channels the other night and on NITV Poltergeist was just starting, i thought i would just watch the first 10 minutes or so of it as i have it on blu ray but started to get sucked into it, better half came out and said oh this again, i'm not going to sucked into watching it and within minutes we are both watching the whole thing together.

Same thing today, NITV had Thunderbird 6 on and both sat and watched it despite owning it on DVD.

Cyborg 2087 - 1966
Basically the Terminator story - Cyborg sent back in time to stop a scientist's invention falling into the wrong hands and being weaponized to eventually turn the future into a living hell. Pretty low budget but a decent enough watch if you're into old sci-fi. 6/10

Barbie - 2023
I'm thinking this killed it at the cinema based purely on the hype and people expecting something other than what they eventually got. I'm sure many left the cinema a bit confused about what they just watched but smiling anyway. Not bad, some funny moments, very messagey but Margot Robbie is quite an outstanding actress not to mention incredibly beautiful, she steels every scene because you are transfixed on her, well I was anyway. Ryan Gosling was a little disappointing, he can do so much better, maybe it was the script or director. Watch him in The Good Guys, he's a natural at comedy usually. 6/10

Took the kids to watch TMNT… it’s very 2023 but still brought back plenty of childhood memories… great fun!

Watched Barbie with the wife and kids (9 & 7) yesterday. Kids lost interest pretty quickly, and most of the jokes went over their head.
Wife and I both enjoyed. Loved the level of meta in it. Very heavy with the social messaging re. Feminism and patriarchy, but that was to be expected.

The Creator - Was decent. Interesting take on AI, that its sentient and capable of love and not just wanting to wipe out the human race. I thought the film was a bit rushed or something, it was just missing something...

Focus.

I admit to being male, and I would be stuttering and my knees shaking should I be in the presence of such a gorgeous female.

It is a weakness I hate about myself, then realise I am just a mammal, nature cannot be denied.

Talk to Me. 8. Very good Australian horror film. Reasonably original story, good effects well used on a small budget and very well acted.
