If we actually gave a coach time to develop maybe we would get somewhere. Kearney granted has started horrible but please no other coach has got this f**king squad to win a premiership. People will bitch and say what about Melbourne when they robbed (I hate them for it) but who knows who we would have played had Melbourne not been there. There is no guarantee we would have done any better. The sad truth is we have a team full of over priced aged hasbeens or young pricks in their first year. This is a really hard situation because no action is going to result in immediate success.

However Kearney isnt a smart coach. Trying to enforce a Melbourne Storm structured type of play then buying Sandow and Roberts for halves, he cant be serious. Kearney has to go.

The board is full of shit. fullstop. i dont know politics and im not sure i want to, but from what i gather they are a bunch of ego driven morons who are damaging the clubs image and repuation just as much as losing is. They must be replaced somehow, by someone.

As for the players, its goodbye Hindmarsh, Burt, at the minimum. Ben Smith id be happy to see stay if he takes a honest paycut, as for shackleton and poore i couldnt care to be honest. Hindmarsh is well past it, burt isnt going to stay on. But it isnt just the senior players who in my opinion have to move on. our young outside backs are so poor in every aspect its a joke. all our so called young talent is pissed away and we keep the rubbish.

Kearneys 5 year plan is a joke. as much as it kills me parra wont win a comp within the next 5 years with or without kearney. it isnt going to happen.

Bellamy can't make a machine in 3 weeks, hence his lack of success at Origin.

good coaches adapt to the situation around them, whether that is the roster, the tournament, even the conditions. You can't have a one plan suits all.

The only thing that prevents me from voting to sack this guy right now, is the absence of Jarryd Hayne. With Hayne, this team might be quite different. I say give Kearney about six weeks with Hayne in the side - if no real improvement, sack him or offer him an assistant coaching position. I`ve always liked Steven Folks.

Regarding the Bellamy/Storm thing. Yes Bellamy has enjoyed amazing success at the club and has continued to do so post salary cap breaches.
But I believe that they cannot really be legal unless they lose Smith or Slater. The fact that they were illegally able to keep a group of 4 great players for such a long period of time has untold benefits to the club. They've said it themselves that they know one another's games so well that they know what each one will do before they do it. The stability this offers a club and the pressure it takes off all other players so they can work on their own games is an absolute advantage.
It's like someone taking steroids for a running race and they say, as long as you stop taking them before the race it's all okay. But they've already done the work and the effects will last for months. (this is not meant to be medically accurate, it's only an analogy)
