Didn't have that feeling at all through the regular rounds in 2010. The way we bowed out in 2009 haunted me, not to mention every other year we'd let it slip through our fingers. Bought GF tickets just because I thought it'd be a good experience. Even when Gasnier came back, I wasn't confident.
Then we beat Manly 28-0 in the first final and I thought we might have a chance. But then I saw that we were playing Tigpies, and I thought we were done; nothing scared me more than Benji Marshall getting the ball that year! But as soon as Sowie caught that pass - that beautiful, inch-perfect bullet-like pass from Nathan Fien - I knew that was it, and that 2010 was our year. Even when Tigpies made that last run, I knew we'd pull through (Thanks, Beau Ryan!!).
On GF day, I was torn between quiet confidence and counting the minutes until I could be sure we had it in the bag. When we went into half time only down by 2, I knew we had it. When Sowie lined up for a field goal, and you could see Fien ready to dart, I stopped counting the minutes and started celebrating.

..f**k it, I'm going to go watch the DVD!
