When do we call time?

It might not be finished before the end of this season though. No point arseholing BA and throwing in Brett Kenny to see out the season if our saviour isn't going to start until 2019.

so you're saying it will take us 5 months to pick a coach?
and why wouldn't they start until 2019 all the coaches mentioned could start next week if need be

People need to take the emotion out of it. Everyone loves BA including me.

But let' face it, he is trying to emulate the storm and doesn't have his own style or vision. He is not a coach.

He is not improving players and is not recruiting the right type of players.

He constantly needs to reinvent the team as new rules are implemented every year to stop teams bending the rules.

What worked last season wont' work this season.

He is just a great motivator unfortunately as he always seems to have the team giving it their all.

I thought this was going to be one of your more 'colourful' posts. But it's actually pretty sensible. 9/10.

I think there's a lot of merit in one particular point. We always seem to be 'fighting the last war' not the next one.

Having said all of this, I might start a new thread asking what punishments (in addition to firing) should be inflicted on BA.

Yeah. Let’s just give it to them. Let’s not even check whether they are a good fit for Parra.

In fact, let’s just pull our ball hugging Parra shorts to one side and let all three candidates plough our date.

That play by Moses last night kicking on the early tackle trying to catch Cotric out said a lot to me. 1. The coach does his research and that's great. 2. His halves are listening to him, also great.... But.... But they are not playing what's in front of them, which I think has been Norman and Moses' strength when playing their best footy... Kicking early in behind the defence was likely a decent tactic, just not at that particular point last night...

In terms of whether BA has been around too long, I must say I think the Rabbits made a gutsy move moving Maguire on and bringing in Siebold. The coach that broke their 40 year drought and then they punt him 3 years later? Fair dues. It looks like Siebold is arresting their slide, so far... BA needs to show us a plan B.....

he doesn't have a plan A
Which is why a plan B is needed

One thing about Arthur is he is a completions coach. He is totally obsessed with the concept that if you get to the kick and build pressure better than your opponent you win games. He isn't interested in getting funky with the ball early in the set or inside your own territory. Big problem arises now that teams defend better on their try line than ever before. So if you dont have any attacking flair you are stuffed. We have no attacking flair.

You also arent holding the ball.

Regarding Maguire, Souths only moved him on after 3 years of decline, so not sure how it was a gutsy move!!

BA may fail this year but he deserves a chance to turn us around - I will judge BA on what he does next year if we fail this year, as it isn't an easy assignment turning a side around (look at the roosters in 2016) during a season, based on his performance over the last 4 years surely his deserves another season!'

I think if another coach came in, some of the players BA has decided to employ as his starting 17 may find themselves without a club.

Great, so the new coach f**ks our cap, giving himself an excuse for failing over the next 2 years !!

Your all missing my point.

What I am saying is people like Pritchard, Scott, Evans etc could very well find themselves in reserve grade and not part of future plans.

he missed the finals twice in six seasons and won a premiership

Arthur has made the finals once in five* seasons

*includes this season

I think it might even be probable.

The only current coaches who have been at their clubs as long as BA are Bellamy, Flanagan, Green and Mcgregor 3 of them have won premierships in that time. BA has won SFA. And there are even signs that a couple of them may be starting to out stay their welcome too.
I think Ricky has been at the Raiders as long as BA as been here.

He got us performing like a top 8 side within 3 years (the salary cap obviously stuffed the 3rd year but we were still playing as a top 8 side - it wasn't his fault) of us being a wooden spoon side, then got us to the finals in year 4.

Yeah we are playing like shit but considering what BA has done he deserves to at least finish his contract. Really he could have put the club back 10 years if he had quit in 2016!!

It's not like he has stuffed our cap and it's clear he is looking to fix areas of our squad (re Paulo rumours).

Brown picked up players from other clubs cleanouts. Other than Ponga, he signed Rooster discards from the cleanout or journeymen.

He is lucky that it has worked for him so far, but he hardly signed players at the top of their game.

Surely you dont think that it’s a formula that we should follow ?

I know which teams formula id follow but forbiden to mention it
