I agree to a certain extent, but honestly, how many players could return to the game after a 5 year absence, and do what he has done.
Before he left the toxic club in 2008, he was the best forward in the game. Five years later, nothing has changed.
It's not like he left to become an accountant for 5 years. He did pretty much the same thing in yawnion. You talk as if he'd gone and done something where he would lose the skills he had picked up before he left.

Was that one of the greatest performances by a forward ever?
He saved tries, set up tries, took bombs in the in goal like a back, was brutal in defence and made 210 metres.
Best ever.
Nah, Hindmarsh was better :sarcasm:
This.
I've been more impressed with Israel Falou's success in yawnion considering he spent two years away from League developing a completely different skill set in AFL.
Will be interested to see how Will Hopoate handles 2 years away from any professional sport.

I often agree with your comments...........And the bits where he gave away penalties, dropped the ball and got steam rollered by a fullback?
The guy gave the big finger to RL and walked out on the game, to see the fornicating by some RL fans on his return is sickening. He'll frick off again next year with a bigger reputation than ever which he will use to promote a rival code. No doubt a great talent but a merkin of the highest order and not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as the games great forwards who fought in the RL trenches all their careers.
So what made you start watching Rugby League in round 17?
...... played the best game I've ever seen from a forward.....

But this is so true. He's pissing off to Union because it's too hard. He has no made anywhere near the impact upon the game that Burge, Burnes, Hindmarsh and Menzies made.

Easily the greatest rugby league forward since big Artie
Watching highlights of his runs ... he was a man on a mission and played the best game I've ever seen from a forward.
He punched through their line on every occasion, earning quick play the balls.
I never thought I'd see another player on Joey Johns level but this guy is in the same class.
We'll never see another talent like him.
