That's an insult to Kevie.

He wasn't a great by any means, but Walters in his day played a pivotal role in five premierships & actually has some highlights in the rep. arena even though he was exposed there.

Matty Johns was a good club player but he'd be in line as one of the worst to represent the Blues and did nothing of note in the Green and Gold, at least anything that can rival Walters decisive pass in the 92 World Cup Final.

TT - Morley's longevity gives him the edge.

Michael Ennis vs. Jim Serdaris

Morley....is that a trickier question?

Worst image for the game....HOPPA and the finger or Graham and the bite

Cliff Lyons was sublime, give him the nod over Walters but not by much.

Jason Taylor or Geoff Toovey

Completely different halfbacks, if you combined Taylor and toovey you would have had one of the best players of all time.

I'd pick Taylor but not by much.

Ellery Hanley v Steve Renouf?

Hanley, more versatile and took more initiative.

Renouf relief more on others and was bit of a flat track bully for me.

Paul McGregor vs. Terry Hill

Mary Mac was awesome when fit. Tezza was nuts. Both had too many injuries.

Martin Bella or Mick Weyman?

You need to eventually decide on one eozsmiles. :p

Bella wasn't the most talented but got the most out of his abilities. One of the best props to play Origin (albeit he's slid in recent times) while Weyman never delivered on his promise.

Going back to an earlier one, Mark Riddell vs. Brad Drew

Riddell comfortably. He could kick goals and a genuine enigma. Drew was a benchie who hit a purple patch for a couple of games.

David Riolo vs Matt Seers

I like Rod better, personal preference. Faster, harder to tackle and a goal kicker.

I'd probably go Rod too but I disagree with that reason.

Hancock was notoriously one of the most difficult players to get to ground in the 90s. Wishart was more reliable and retained his speed longer than Mick but wasn't as renown for that feature of his game.

I'll save your comparison for someone else.

Matt Sears for me, i always liked Riolo as a player but he was nothing more than middling whereas Sears was arguably one of the best 5 fullbacks in the game in the mid 90's.

Better team

Brisbane 1992 or Brisbane 2000 ?

Tough one but I reckon Brisbane 1992.

Their whole backline played Origin and tests.

O'Neill, Hancock, Johns, Renouf, Carne, Walters, Langer.

Add to that, Lazarus, Gee, Matterson, Gillmeister, Kerrod Walters in the forwards.

What a team.

Hancock was a deadset legend.. as were all those broncos of that era in the 90's..

Wishart was always so dangerous when playing for NSW..

Tim Brasher was another cracker player.. always looked so dangerous for NSW.

Darren Lockyer would probably still find a way to steal it from them at the death though. :sarcasm:
