Fell out with the front office, mainly
He's a cult hero at Leeds but I still feel he never amounted to what he should have. He was able to be a superstar over there by sort of cruising through games and ended up as an impact bench player when really he should have been the best forward in Super League. He also played his last test for the Kiwis a decade before his retirement, he should have been our best forward of the 2000s.

Caught a game of his a few years after he left the Warriors. He was overweight and slow but still got best on ground getting by on his skill. They have no idea how good he was at the Warriors. I assume he just trod water there for a decade.

Jarryd Sammut for mine.

Saw that kid in the reserve grade GF in 2002/3 I think and eventually when he made grade and thought he was gonna set the world alight, then he disappeared into the wilderness.

I live in London and saw him yesterday coming off the bench for the London Broncos.

Reserve grade GF at 15-16. Damn.

Yeah same, I was a gun.
f**k knows what happened
I was destined to be one of the greats of the modern day game.
I wasted my opportunity on Table Tennis. For some reason it doesn’t pay very well professionally in Australia. May have to make the move to Chinese.

If you played juniors with Capewell, how in the f**k did you end up supporting the Storm?
Started supporting the Storm when they came into the league, I would of been 8 at the time, I think. Hated the Broncos back then cause everyone loved the Broncos where I’m from and that gets annoying and the Cowboys were shit back then. Storm came along, I liked their name, I liked their colours, nobody else was following them that I knew, and I was a massive fan of Brett Kimmorley back then. So it all seemed right to follow the Storm, been supporting them ever since

Jarryd Hayne - He made it then lost it. Next year he'll be 29/30, his career is almost over.

That's fair enough. I thought the Broncos was a given.

I was mistaken.

Don’t you worry about Roy. He’s kicking arse locally :)

Good to see Satts trying his hand at coaching too

https://www.northernstar.com.au/news/casinos-roy-bell-to-captain-representative-team/3028917/

CASINO halfback Roy Bell will captain the Northern Rivers representative rugby league team for the first time at the NSW Country Championships this year.

He will lead them out against North Coast in the second tier part of the competition at Coffs Harbour on Saturday.

Only three players remain from last years team and coach Scott Sattler had plenty of options on who would captain his team.

"Roy is a natural leader and it was a no-brainer for me in the end," Sattler said.

"He hasn't captained a rep team before but it's just a natural progression for a player of his ability.

Wally Lewis- finally made top grade, played 1 finals game, never won a gf, got sacked, only played 80 games, couple wooden spoons

You do know that Lewis won 3 premierships in the Brisbane league which was top grade footy.
