Wasn't a fan of Mary getting the full time gig, however how could he not get the job now unless someone else has already been signed.

I'm happy with the wins and I'm not anti Mary but given that there is no rush to sign him I'm happy to wait out the year. Whether he gets signed now or in six games should make no difference to 2015 so unless we have someone else lined up there's no harm in waiting on results

Quite a utopian idea GT. Maybe you should start up your own forum, that way you can delete any unworthy posts. Everyone can hold hands and sing kumbaya. Sounds great, I say go for it. Seeya

Yet another useless post by you Godz. You'll be remembered as one of the forum constantly trying to bring the team down. Any tips for next year super coach? Who is it you support besides yourself??? It's hard to tell.

I'd welcome your insight if you had any but you bag the team when they win, however I'll be happy to take your idea's onboard when we have a losing streak which is much better than utilising your idea's and creating one!

Peel the omelet off your face and enjoy the win!

It is so easy now for doust, Nathan Brown or Mary..we want one of our own. Hopefully we can meet the donkeys in the GF next season and do a Germany on Brazil job!

I guess this means I won?t be invited into the Shiny Happy Utopian Supporters Forum. To be honest, I?m relieved. I?m happy to converse with dickheads occasionally, but an entire forum of them could get a tad boring. Thanks.

My input on this forum has been just as valid as most idiotic inputs inluding yours.

I don't go around saying we signed this dude and that dude, the classic is I saw x shopping around For a house in suburb y.
My wish list over the last 2 season has paid off, getting Dugan, getting Marshall and Price getting the sack.
My wish is for Brown, Mary and David Waite for the coaching positions next year...a massive improvement from Price, Mary and Craig Young.

And I'm telling you Brown won't be coming back to us.
Put your view forward ,but if someone says they know something ,don't make them out to be lying.

As a long time dragons support ( 1970's) I think we should take a breath and enjoy these wins ( I see we won all three grades on the weekend ).
It wasn't that long ago that we were a total shamble ( 2013 for example )- those losses to Parramatta and Dogs ealier this season were some of the worst I had ever seen.
When Price was coach I would of been happy if he would have been replaced with " anyone ".
When Price was sacked we were all happy , then along came Paul McGregor - at the time I wasnt that happy but as time has gone on I must admit I have been pleasantly surprised.
He is honest , hard working , played at Elite level and loves the Dragons ( just like us )
His interviews are always good to listen too.
He has got the whole club playing good football , we are competitive accross all three grades.
Now that we have missed out on Wayne Bennett, lets move on.
Give Paul McGregor the following
2015 with a club option for 2016 , The best coaching staff we can afford ,a big robust forward or two and lets sit back and enjoy !

THE Gold Coast have ruled out going after sacked Broncos coach Anthony Griffin, with Titans assistant Neil Henry firming to assume the head coaching role next season.

Embroiled in another salary cap drama and all but certain to miss the finals for the fourth consecutive year, there is a sense of deja vu about this latest Titans crisis.

However, for the first time in his career at the Titans, John Cartwright is in danger of losing his job. But he is unlikely to leave the club.
There are Titans board members who believe shifting Cartwright to a coaching director role next year and promoting Henry is their smoothest road to success.

The Titans must win five of their final six games to make the eight.

So it looks like we can now scratch Henry of our list.

So who will it be to coach the Dragons in 2015:

Sheens
Brown
Mary
Daley

or someone else?

I wouldn't call it easy. Last time time I checked, Brown was contracted to St Helens until 2016 and he appears to be quite well dug in there. McGregor is still on trial; and the dumb politics from a certain club official has created unneccesary complications. So... I think patience is the key here.

I feel its just about a certainty that Mary will be head coach in 2015 after missing out on Bennett. The team is most definitely responding to his coaching and they have improved in all areas. This thread should now be re-titled "Who do you want as assistant coach to Mary ? " Will it be Millward, Barrett, Hornby or an outsider like Matt Parish or Anthony Griffin ? This will probably be the more relevant question at this stage.

After the Tigers blowing the Dogs off the park last week I have to wonder if idiotic comments like that should not be deleted. Lets keep the forum for supporters, Grouch go back to the hole you came from!
They smashed the dogs because there was no board room games last week, ill say it again Mary is blessed with the origin period and the tigers game was ours before the kick off, Mary has not beaten any big teams, Manly beat us in second gear. He is doing well but not well enough to get the job yet, Mary must beat the roosters minus sbw aubuson and that tupau kid, if not why should he get the job ? From a rookie coach most of the dragons supporters need to see us beat a good football side not ones with problems and reserve grade sides.

This is true, but we did beat Melbourne. I can understand the resistance to rookie coaches after the Price and Brown fiascos. However, that shouldn't count against Mary as he can only be judged on what he is doing and his results. Which by all accounts is good. Experience is also important, but it isn't everything. Several of the coaches motioned are very experienced at losing. I must admit I'm becoming an advocate of Mary as coach, because the available options are not all that great. If no great coaches pop up between now and the end of the year then why not offer him a 12-month contract as a trial?

My Opinion..Hasler, Bellamy and Bennett are the best in the business and are worth big bucks but all married now.
Other than that the rest are the same..nothing exciting..IFFFF available Nathan Brown is worth getting back..Mary might be worth a go depending on the next few weeks.
So for me it is Mary or Browny forget the rest and if sacked by the tigers end of the year Potter would be great as assistant.

If... we have to have Mary I hope they sign an experienced coach that won't gun for the top job. Someone like a David Waite or a Daniel Anderson would be ideal. I believe both would be happy to play second fiddle at their stage of life and would add experience and expertise to our coaching staff.
