Investment in a NRL team with a confirmed NRL grant and the ability to sell sponsorship in the most watched code in Australian Sport is a lot more attractive than someone having to bail out the Glory.

Apart from Melbourne City, which is owned by UAE, which A league club isn't in financial difficulty? Newcastle hasn't had an owner for 2 years, and most of the other teams need their owners to put in millions of dollars per year.

Thankfully the NRL isnt the Aleague or Super rugby and so clubs in those other two comps have little relevance to the performance of an NRL club anymore than GWS performance in Sydney has any relevance to the success of NRL clubs there.
