Evidently I'm far from the only one who thought Widdop sucked in the halves. Reading between the lines, judging from what they quoted Ben Hunt as saying yesterday, he thought so as well. Seemingly even McFooknuckle has gotten it through his pea-brain.

As I told @TruSaint, I looked through the entire thread after his extraordinary outburst. I found the attitude of several posters even more extraordinary. If things go badly for Widdop at fullback I know you will throw everyone and everything under the bus to make excuses for him. But I'm confident things will go well with Widdop at fullback and more importantly, Norman at 5/8 and I will remind you of it. No need to thank me.

As you are the resident expert on all things Norman can you please provide the supporting data as to the games he has won for the teams he was playing for especially those wins that were in "clutch" situations as after all that is you major issue with Widdop. Seeing Norman is such a huge upgrade IYO those facts should be readily available to you.
Youtube will no doubt have all these games somewhere and I look forward to looking at how he single handedly garnered the wins especially those that propelled his teams deal into the finals play offs.

I'm not an expert of all things Norman. I haven't followed Parra ever. I only remember watching them in the latter stages of the competition in 2017 and in games against us. Based on those games I thought Norman is a gun and will be a tremendous signing for us.

As for You Tube highlights I think you are missing the basic premise of my idea about Norman. He doesn't look anything like a Sean Johnson or Milford or Morgan type half. From what I have seen of him, he looks like a guy who leads the team around the field, organizing, calling the ball when needed, sometimes running, sometimes kicking, sometimes passing late or early depending on the situation.

IMO precisely what we need and precisely what Widdop has failed miserably at.

I think you say this nonsense just to get off topic. Ok, just this once I will do as @TruSaint wants.

In the interests of accuracy, my first post was stating about how Hayne at this point has done absolutely nothing wrong. He is accused of a crime which he states never happened. And the accuser is "known to police". The post was deleted due to references to a certain body part on females starting with "p".

This resulted in a hysterical reaction from @Old Timer and the following from......... the No.1 ******** (fill in the blank with something, or several things, bad):

Sitting here trying to work out if you are:
a) just trying to get a rise out of people

I'm not completely new to the forum. Only new to comment. I started watching it on an irregular basis about 8 months ago. It was a good place to get news. To find out whats going on when the slide inevitably set in. I don't know too much but I know Muzby on pretty much every thread or every page of every thread leaves snide and what he thinks are witty but most people think are lame little remarks.

I also know Possum, whose style, or whose dreams I like. Everyday he posts a message imagining every player who has so much as been rumored to be a free agent at some point in the future, and quite a few who haven't, in the Dragons 2019 team.

Aside from that there seem to a good number of angry old guys who haven't eaten Hayne's favorite food in a long time, grouching at each other and everyone else. I don't want to be part of that. I only wanted to give my thoughts on the 2019 team and maybe from time to time post a message. So pretty f**king please, leave me out of your little cliques.

And so, if Hayne is cleared of all charges and his only crime is being hungry for something he couldn't get in good quality in Western Sydney, I hope he is signed. I liked Dufty as a player but he really lost me in the back half of last season. I now he apparently isn't that much smaller than Barba or Slater but if that is the case, those extra few kgs seem to make all the difference. He looked to me like a boy playing with men quite often. He needs a course of mass increasing PEDs. Who cares about his long-term health if he can help the Dragons win premierships in the near term?

So, now we can both see you are lying, lets get right back on topic. If you don't like my opinion, or more specifically, my opinion on Widdop's tenure as our main playmaker and his lack of playmaking ability, you are welcome to block me. From now I won't reply to your personal attacks.

You are an interesting person. I see you are absolutely and hopelessly smitten over Gareth Widdop. That's fine. But being smitten over Widdop doesn't mean everyone else is bad. I have seen you being critical of Ben Hunt and Corey Norman in relation to Widdop. They are both Dragons players! They will be well after Widdop is gone.
Then there is your denouncements of Hayne, Benji, McFooknuckle and the entire team except Widdop being to blame for the lack of success over the last 5 years. I'm sure if I dug a little, many more. You tell me. Apart from Widdop, Hunt and Norman, what do you think of other guys on the current team? How about Jack? So far from what we know what he did was worse than what Hayne did morally but legally, he is innocent as far as we know.

After that, shall we get right back on topic? Do you disagree with my characterization of Norman vs Widdop?
