Will Hopoate set to join the dragons!

They did not sign players hoping they would be first graders the cap was a mess and they signed players to basically fill the 25 and a few second tier players thats why so many got one year deals.

Now alot of those guys have been moved on but still they have to replace them with some body with a few outsiders and NYC players still trying to juggle a messy cap with backended deals.

What's this guy's strike rate with player signings like ? There is no way Hopoate is signing with the Dragons. They don't have the available money & he hasn't even been approached by them.
if you read it properly you'll see that I only asked if anyone else had heard anything!and your 100% sure he hasn't been approached?

Is it not an NRL contract because incompetent Parramatta didn't lodge it ?

They tried to lodge it but the NRL wouldn't register it because it would have put them over the cap or something along those lines so now they've offered Hopoate a reduced contract but he's playing hard ball and wants the contract he signed. As someone else mentioned I think there's issues with unpaid third party agreements.

On reflection lets give Dufty/Glymin and Isaac Thompson a shot.

Hopoate seems to have lost his pace, we don't need another Dane Neilsen.

I'm starting to lean to that thinking, Duffy off contract this season, is young and can also play a few positions. Would be a lot cheaper than Hoppa and less risk too.
I hear Warriors are sounding him out....don't know why one thing they don't lack is speed and strength.!!

I think some people are talking about Matt Duffie from the Warriors & others Matt Dufty, the Dragons Holden Cup fullback who can play in that comp again next year ( if it's still around )

I would prefer us to go after Will Smith from Penrith . He can play a few positions and has a ton of speed . He seems to be getting better and better each game .
Off contract at the Panthers
Would be a great pick up and better value than Wille the Eel
Has speed , good hands and could play anywhere in the back line
Have a crack at him Peter M

Is that supposed to be funny?

It's lighthearted. The joke is that there was discussion of players with surnames 'Dufty' and 'Duffie'. That picture is of a charactor called 'Duffman' from popular cartoon TV series The Simpson. It was a play on the prefix 'Duf-' in the names. You will notice that the name in that picture is also fairly physically muscular, giving the impression of strength and athleticism, which are desirable attributes in the game of Rugby League. Thus, he could potentially be a signing for our Rugby League team (except that he's, y'know, a cartoon and all).
Does that make sense?

Now that I've explained it, you can go back to bleating about how shit Widdop is and crying for weeks on end about being called 'homie'. Enjoy!

Will Smith has a ton of pace and was terrific in MiB.

(for Vasilevsky) - See this, too, is a light-hearted joke. What WreckTangle has done here is identify favourable attributes of two different Will Smiths in a jovial manner; that is, Will Smith the Rugby League player (referenced by 'ton of pace') and Will Smith, the actor in a popular movie franchise 'Men in Black' (referenced by 'terrific in MiB). The funny side of it is that any acting performance in a sci-fi movie would not have a bearing on performance as a Rugbue League player, but they have the same name and could be easily confused!

Classic!

I don't care if anyone else makes jokes. I only care about annoying homies like you making (idiotic) 'jokes'.

So it's a personal thing then?! Oh, how fun! Am I in your head, Vas? Shall I expect you to be trawling the forums looking for ways to shut me down after every post? How long until you start trying to insult me further? Can't wait!

Are you in my head? FFS........:? Sorry to disappoint but my attitude toward you is supreme indifference, bordering on contempt at best. At least Nick is a funny homie. You are just a ******** (fill in the blank yourself) homie.
