The bigger issue from general fans, is how did Dogs players seem to get preferential treatment, Josh Jackaon - nothing for the crusher, TRex - nothing for the high shot, Reynolds - 3 weeks for what should have beenat least 6 etc etc

Nice to know that the NRL Head of Football is in constant contact with Dawn French at the Dogs to help them out, no double standards there, likewise nothing dubious about favourable decisions and endless cap ability.

That s a bit cynical . But most non Dogs fans would have a wry smile, methinks

Well done NRL. Robbing a man of a day he would otherwise never forget, win or lose. Not to mention his family who would've been looking forward to it. Round of applause for you. Morons.

So it was the NRLs fault he got SBW in a dangerous position? How did they do this?

He did it, it was fairly graded and he has priors so he got what he got. Don't want to be suspended, dont lift guys in tackles, not that hard.

Oh and boo hoo

He robbed himself of the opportunity to play in a Grand Final, simpleton.

A decision was made by committee that the tackle was bad enough to warrant no discretion.

Fair enough , however there must be consistency .

At the moment there is a thought that Bulldog players have rec'd preferential treatment during the finals.

There needs to be an investigation and those folks on the committee held accountable for any inconsistent decisions during the finals.Someone should be sacked for the recent decisions by the NRL on bulldog indiscretions.

Having Todd Greenberg as a league head executive helps. Cheaterbury bankstown have their ways. Most favoured team in de NRL by far. It took Reynold to go mental to get any action. BTW, T-Rex escaped 2 shoulder charges.

I'm of the simple view that no player should miss the grand final, simple as that. What I would do is have all players charged and found quality of misconduct in the qualifying finals serve their suspension the following season. If they commit an act of foul play, serving 5-7 weeks will hurt a team just as much the following season as it would having them miss the Grand Final. What you could also do is introduce a 'loading' penalty. For instance, if a player commits an act of foul play they should have a mandatory extra 20% (or rounded up to the nearest whole game) of their suspension added on to the suspension already handed down by the judiciary in exchange for playing in the grand final.

what if its the player's last year before retiring???

wow the mental giants are coming out to play today...

so it's 1 minute to go in the preliminary final, the opposition is about to score and win the game, you can only stop them by an illegal move of some sort..

so you do it..

they lose, you win, and you get to play the following week...

stupid idea.

you do the crime, you do the time...

nope, you haven't accepted the decision on luke..

by trying to shift focus and blame onto the judiciary and the bulldogs, you are showing the clear signs of blame, which is a symptom of anger, which is in the 2nd stage of the classic D.A.B.D.A. model of the human brain processing bad news..

prepare for bargaining for a solution next...

followed by depression about the news...

finally followed by acceptance...

i'm here for you if you need a shoulder to cry on...

Was the correct decision. Sad though. He's played his heart out for years for that club and now he's gonna miss the big one.

I'm all for getting rid of these lifting tackles but it introduces a more complexity .. the only way smaller guys can tackle guys like SBW and Inglis is by taking their feet out from under them.

Rugby League is a dangerous sport but there's so many things you can't do in tackles know. I don't know where it's all gonna end up.
