So the conclusion is that reverse psychology by the victim works at the judiciary. Tate cries that he feared for his life, we all have a giggle and no charge. SBW says all is cool bro let him off, judiciary is not going to be told what to do and suspends Luke.

you moron.

by that logic, if you get caught drink driving, but thankfully didn't hit anyone, you should get a reduced sentence.

Er...you do? Like any other crime where the outcome has a bearing on the sentence?

Attempted murder and murder, for example...

yep, got the legal geniuses out tonight...

attempted murder vs murder is still about intent to commit a crime..

you'll find that in cases of attempted murder, where sufficient malicious intent was there the punishment will still be as severe as for murder..

souffs fans.. you win one legal battle in the 90's, you assume you're Perry Mason..

shame you weren't the defence for Luke tonight, you would have got him off...

Yeah but you're talking about something different there Muzby, there was no "attempted" anything, it's an issue of negligence, not an attempt to commit a crime. A more appropriate analogy is the drink driving one, where the impact of your crime certainly is a factor. Or if you want to equate it to someone getting killed, the difference between murder and manslaughter is a good example.

Not happy but oh we'll it's done now. The inconsistency with MRC continues.

Every week they continue to be different. Maybe they have memory loss or something.

Whole system is stuffed up.

All we want to see as supporters is consistency for all clubs next year.

It doesn't look like it will happen in the near future though or improve a lot.

Too many bias opinions!

I'm more of a Denny Crane fan myself but I take your point.

If you actually think intent is what matters rather than the outcome then you are insane...

Right call but the NRL leave them self open as every week we see player not even sighted for far more dangerous and grubby play, and at present the dogs seem to be getting some questionable calls.

The good thing is Souths will still win in a canter

Greenberg strikes again. Simple...double standards.

Didn't realise Greenburg ran the judiciary.

All these people in the NRL that bow down to his every whim. What a powerful man :sarcasm:

in 2009 Jarryd Hayne came flying across the field and kung fu some dude in the face on the try line and he got off to play in the GF

Jarryd Hayne > Isaac Plod
