I know you seem very confident about this, but it just doesn't make much sense to me when we are trying to strengthen our pack we buy 1 good prop and let go of another more inexperianced prop who could be just as much value for a similar price tag.

I would like to see Caylo here next year for a shot at a grand final, I would have no quams losing guys like Weller, Cordoba, Lowrie, TT.

If Cayless is such a done deal, why has there been no signning news? I would imagine an ESL club would have made a media release already and another NRL club would have made a stir already esp if like you say its a
"done deal".

If you are correct then so be it but tbh I hope your not, and since your so confident it does worry me.

Non disclosure agreements etc are always in place for things like this, as to not unsettle the team etc. Plus it will allow him a dignified exit when it is announced.

Although I got this news a few weeks ago, you will start to see some info released as the season progresses. It started today with a 4 liner in the telegraph sports section if anyone saw it. More will break soon.

from what i hav heard Caylo 400k, finch 330k, Lowrie 180k, Cordoba 180k Weller 100k and Smokin Joe 100k... thats 1.29million... plus TT, Paulo and Oake!!!
Even taking Caylo out we still have a million to spend!!!
Poore 350k and shack say 200k... we still have 450k to spend... If Caylo goes we have 850k to spend, give or take a little!!!

Wing I would say ok to, Hunt not worth 400K he would demand atleast when we have Hayne in there. Karlos is a good player would come much cheeper to play in the centres, guys like Richardson aswell look good. Then there are players like Reddy who is very solid in the centres and Inu who can be just as good as Hayne if he can find his form again.

I would be very happy with a backline consisting of

Hayne
Reddy
Inu
Karlos.F
Gorthe

or

Hayne
Reddy/Richardson
Inu
Richardson/Reddy
Grothe

We don't need to invest big monies in our backline anymore then we have already. If we signned someone in the halves with experiance (i.e like a Kimmorley signnig the dogs pulled off last year) then that would be more usefull. Someone like Wing in at hooker is also a quality signning even thou im unsure he would fit the makup of our team. Cuthbo would be a good signning IMO.

Kind of sad about Caylo. Club legend imo. I agree totally he is not what he was though. If he wasn't on what he supposedly is then he would well be worth it, for depth and experience. Personally I would love to see him played from the bench and introduced when teams have slowed/softened up a little around the 20-25 min mark. If he goes I hope its to England because wouldn't like seeing him play for another NRL club.

if caylo ends up playing at another NRL club, then I can only imagine we'd still be footing part of the bill - cos I can't see any team with a clue taking his full salary off our hands

i think our 2 signings so far are great.
i dont think adam cuthbo would be a good signing
he isnt a starter and we already have impact forwards

if we sign another forward the need be a real metre eater or line breaker
our back row looks great:
hindy
shack
mateo

up front:
poore
caylo ( i dont see him leaving next year )
with moi moi and mannah/latimore etc to come off bench

Cuthbo is a big lad and has a very good offload and some good footwork, he isnt a starter thou so yes i will agree there. The guy makes about 75meters a match in 35 min and offloads about 2-3 times and making 18-20 tackles. These arnt bad stats and behind a forward pack that is going forward (with Poore and Fui starting this will happen) he will be a good asset and give another dimention to out pack.

Assuming Caylo does leave (if he doesn't I wouldnt worry about Cuthbo) Poore and Fui will play about 50min each, Mannah and another player will only be required for about 30min each and Cuthbo could do that very easy (playing last 15min of 1st half and starting 15 min of second half).

Cuthbo wouldnt cost more than 100-120K and could even become better if he lost a bit of the baby fat he has hanging around him. I think perfect type player Anderson could get the best out of and Hayne/keating would love the second phase play produced byt him.

If DA gets his hand on him he could double thoughs stats.
Cuthbo has so much potential imo.

DT also "reports" that Wing will be free to negotiate outside of the NRL but not with rival clubs

caylo i dont think you understand money.....
thinking cutbo is only worth 100 to 120k.
There are players who are yet to see the light of nrl earning that.
cuthbo would be asking 200k plus.
he is a city rep (ruled out through injury right? )
a premiership winner and has been touted as a super sub.....

he would want more than 200k........
