Disappointed with the way Warrington played. Prob about 50% down on usual. To many mistakes by going for big hits. Should have ran it up with Hill and Westwood then go wide after that.
Shame Ratchford was injured, his flair would have been nice around the edges.

Atkins is now a bit lacking nowadays at this level, and Myler isn't good enough to be our long term half back.

Simms has to stop trying to be highlights machine. He is not good enough for that. Monaghan also had a quiet game.

On St George the half backs had a good kicking game, turned us around a lot. That was a big difference. Number 8 looked good and made an impact, but the rest of the forwards were not brilliant. In fact they were a bit soft. I can see how Cooper became such an important player there.

The big guy on the wing should have walked and was generally average. A guy that big should run harder.

Number 9 looked good.

To much messing around on the ball. A bit NRL like for my liking.

Also it seemed you were allowed to take people out during high kicks and high tackles will be punished with no more than a telling of. St George are not going to have a ref that bad in the NRL so need to be smarter than that going forward.

If reffed the same tonight though, Wigan are going to love it! ;-)

Oh and thanks to the sky cup Warrington finished 3rd.
I hated the horrible end of season, made for tv competition more than most as league places were 100% irrelevant to who wins what and who finished where in super league.
People like Evil Homer loved it. So to say what he is saying now is a bit strange.

Last year the comp finished Saints, Wigan, Wire, Catalan, Cas, Hudds, Leeds, Weirdness.

I have heard that because the games are in England they are going by English Super League rules, and when they had the World Club Challenge in Sydney last year they went by NRL rules. I think for these world club games they should go by international rules.

This game is part of a series designed to prove which competition -- NRL or Super League -- is the best. The match is on GEM at 7 am on Sunday morning.

Bludgers who live in council/public housing probably don't have GEM. But the rest of us, who work for a living, do. It should be a cracker.

I think the Wiggies, aka the Pies, will be too strong for the Broncos.

You should see the amount of housing commission houses that have Foxtel satellite dishes on their roofs, and GEM is free-to-air anyway.

Having GEM is a sign of wealth?

Weird digression into class warfare there mate, on the turps I guess.

I think that people who don't know what a good game of Rugby League is by both the players and the ref should find something easier to watch

You have been consistently wrong about everything in this thread so I'll take that.

I have heard that because the games are in England they are going by English Super League rules, and when they had the World Club Challenge in Sydney last year they went by NRL rules. I think for these world club games they should go by international rules.

The other week a high tackle was a red and one of a shoulder was a yellow so the game wasn't reffed to super league rules.

id have sat him down for 10 whether im a pom, aussie or outer mongolian!!

but the refs cant if the rules says you cant send players to the sin-bin for a high tackle. in this case i believe they could have (because i heard they were playing by english superleague rules) but the ref obviously thought the head high tackles werent bad enough to sin-bin them, and i agree with him

Can they beat Wigan? Um they should beat Wigan. They're playing a side in an inferior competition.

So the NRL wins the inaugural World Club Series.

I think in future they need to do a better job communicating that it is a competition between the NRL and Super League, and not between the clubs.
