Pot 1 (top eight seeds): Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Uruguay

Pot 2: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chile, Ecuador

Pot 3: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Australia, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras

Pot 4: Bosnia, Croatia, England, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, France

Note: A pre-draw will be held to move one of the nine European teams into Pot 2. That European team will then be drawn against one of the four seeded South American teams to preserve the geographical balance of the draw.

As the countdown for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final continues, SBS will broadcast the final draw LIVE on SBS ONE and streamed online on Saturday 7 December from 2.45am AEDT (WA audience joins the coverage at 12.45am local time).

The draw will commence at 3am AEDT with the 32 nations - including Australia of course - to find out who their adversaries and groups are. It will be a time not only for coaches and players, but for the millions of anxious fans located in all corners of the world.

SBS football host Les Murray will be live in Bahia, Brazil, as the draw is announced, with several FIFA World Cup stars assisting with the draw including Zinedine Zidane (France), Sir Geoff Hurst (England), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy) and Mario Kempes (Argentina).

“On this day, Planet Football will have its eyes trained on Bahia’s Costa do Sauipe," FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke wrote in one of his columns.

"The group draw is in itself an event, with television audiences in the hundreds of millions around the entire world, the same number we see for a FIFA World Cup match.”

Scott McIntyre will be live in studio with SBS Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster and former Socceroos midfielder Jason Culina to give their thoughts and analysis on the draw.

SBS will hear from Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou immediately after the draw for his reaction on the Socceroos fixture.

SBS will also be providing live social updates via Twitter and Facebook and there is a repeat of the broadcast later in the day at 5.30pm on SBS ONE.

And next year SBS will broadcast all 64 matches from the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final LIVE and EXCLUSIVE to Australian audiences.

The telecast starts at 2:45 and finishes at 5:00

No doubt the first hour and a half will be filled with irrelevant bullshit, the draw will take fifteen minutes and then Foz will spend the last half hour telling us how f*cked we are

I'm surprised that you would watch the leftist coverage from the public broadcaster Jimbo, or do the ads that SBS show override that?

Jesus. Two teams who recently belted us 6-0 and a team the entire nation hates after 2006. That would be brutal.

It's coverage of a FIFA production on SBS Whally, not an Abbott-hate-fest on the ABC

Our point differential after the group stage would be about -50

Under Osieck, for sure. I think we'll be much improved under Postecoglou. We'd probably still finish on 0 points, but I don't see us being disgraced like we were by Germany in 2010.
