So we now know all 32 teams. For the draw, FIFA has already announced the seeded Pot 1 but history suggests the other Pots will look like this:

Pot 1 (seeded) - Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, Uruguay, Switzerland.
Pot 2 (AFC/CONCACAF) - Australia, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Mexico, United States, Honduras, Costa Rica.
Pot 3 (UEFA) - Netherlands, England, Italy, Russia, Croatia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal.
Pot 4 (CAF/CONMEBOL) - Algeria, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ecuador, Chile.
Special pot - France (as the lowest ranked UEFA country they will be drawn separately to ensure there are not 3 UEFA teams in one group)

For the Socceroos:
Best-case is Switzerland, Greece, Ecuador.
Worst-case is Spain/Brazil/Argentina, Netherlands, Ghana.

It'll be 10 years since the diving nice person Ronaldo made his international tournament debut. Will he finally stand up and be counted at a tournament?

With 4 South American teams there's a good chance we'll end up with one of them, France and a heavyweight from the UEFA pot.

There's no way Ecuador are "the best case scenario" out of pot 4. I don't really see us beating anyone from that pot 4 or from any other group. You never know what can happen but 2014 is going to be a very strong and competitive WC and unless Ange can weave some magic we are pushing it uphill.

Colombia/Uruguay/Belgium
Croatia/Netherlands

I'd like any of those in our group for pure entertainment.

The real question is how the f**k are Switzerland ranked 7th? Their group was ridiculously easy.

You really think any of those teams has a good chance of making it out of the group? Anything can happen and I'll reserve judgement until the groups are known but the AFC/CONCACAF teams are really up against it. African teams are hardly reliable though they could easily implode

How'd the All Whites go? I missed that match. I take it they're out?

Also, the goal from France that was a mile off-side... this is the SECOND consecutive World Cup they've qualified for with a goal that should not have been awarded... Thierry Henry's hand ball back in 2009 and now this! Quite lucky... very lucky indeed!
