I think by the Broncs not being stood down may be reason enough for the Sharks to re-instate Bird!

So "Lanfranci" should have been stood down by the Titans even though the charge related to when he was at the Tigers?
Why should the Titans suffer for indescretions not committed at their club?
Any other names?

Yes it shouldn't matter.
Bird shouldn't feel hard done by, he has been charged.
Brisbane are soft, if this happened in the regular season they would have been dropped.

Lanfranci ring a bell anyone ?
He does, and one situation shouldn't be a precedent for all others that follow.

I personally would prefer that players under charge are stood down, rather than left at large. I think there's a role for the NRL in this, ensuring all clubs have adequate educational programs in place so players do not put themselves so stupidly at risk (regardless of courtroom innocence), and then having a blanket code where players are stood down.

Everyone would soon learn not to behave like a prick in public, and clubs included - else their employees forced to face some time stood down when it would most hurt their employer.

So how long is it going to take the Queensland Police to make a decision on what they are going to do about these three cubicle bandits?

f**k me, three Broncos players are up on a potential rape charge, and some of you want them to be allowed to play on the weekend??????

So what if a player was a suspect in a murder charge or a hit and run and the Police where still gathering evidence. Don't you think that they should stand down in the meantime?

Those wankers put themselves in that situation, no one forced them to go into that cubicle, they have to live with the consequences.

EDIT: cubicle bandits replaced arse clowns

I don't think anyone wants them to play, if there is evidence enough for them to be charged. It's just that there are numerous differences to Bird's situation at the present time.

I prefer the term "cubicle bandits" actually... that way SBW can be included in the same group for reference sake. ;-)

Funny how the golden rule is you say nothing until you make a statement via a lawyer ...and the Broncos have already given their version and description of what happend released in the papers today ..NEWS - BRoncos-screwing with the public.
Girl gets paid a handsome amount and walks away rich and the footy players live on.
One thing about the Bronco's they have always gotten away with Murder for a long time ......The Bulldogs have nothing on these blokes. One day ina book the truth will be told.

Yeah, since the woman found herself willingly in the male toilets, I'd say the payout was the goal when she walked in there. "Hey boys here I am." "Get stuffed." "Well I'll claim you assaulted me."

I'll admit I am one-eyed but it all seems a bit fishy.

Until they are charged, like Greg Bird has been, then let them play.

And what was Tilse's record like as far as behaviour went? Was the girl willingly engaging in sexual activity to begin with? Do you know the circumstances of the sacking?

Tilse had a perfect record.
And how do you know that the girl in this scenario willing engaged to begin with or not? And even if she didn't it makes no difference. Someone sexually assaulting someone after consensual activity is just as bad as assaulting someone without initial consent.

3 blokes getting a blow job from some skank then 2 banging her which was apparantly consensual. Only then to go pear shaped when one of the idiots decided to film it is quite a different to glassing a female in the eye then lying about it and getting someone else to take the blame. If you can not see the situations are very different then you are quite stupid.

No one has ever said that the only infringment was filming it. And even if it was it's still shocking. Go and walk into a womens lockerroom and start taking photos - you should get arrested, and you defend that? Shows you what values Broncos fans have.

Geez, as has had to be explained so many times in the other thread... consenting to one act doesn't mean the consent stands if the situation changes (eg filming). Just because a woman/person consents to some acts doesn't mean that her right to change her mind about different acts is taken away.

The onus is on the people changing the situation to check for consent. They are stupid for putting themselves at risk of the allegation. It has been reported that consent was given for intercourse with two of the three named players, and that the filming of the act was the problem. It follows that this wouldn't have been a complaint (ie that all parties were happy with the goings on) until that point, and the two "lucky" players would be hating the third guy for getting out his camera phone out right now.

And you know for a fact theres no investigation going on?

They are investigating it, if i remember correctly they were gong to make a decision in two weeks, so until the police have made their findings they shouldn't play.

Who is defending that Razor?

Cue: He said they were different so therefore he was defending it and therefore all broncos fans have no values.

Maybe Ill get some woman to make "allegations" against Anasta in Auckland this week just so he gets stood down until the "allegations" are proved otherwise.

So he is saying that isn't bad enough to deserve suspension. Anyone that films a women without their consent is a piece of scum.

Tilse had a perfect record.

Tilse was a scapegoat, but the Knights management claimed he had several other alcohol related issues in his past when they justified his sacking.

NRL also supported them by deregistering him for the remainder of the season. i recall the Players Union made sounds about supporting him and cjhallenging it but it amounted to nothing.
