So much for the "squeeky clean" image of the club

IMO the Gold Coast Bitans lost any credibility as a club with any integrity whatsoever, when they decided to make a concerted effort to attack Simpson via the media for 2 weeks after the Zillman biting incident earlier this year.

That was such a sad, pathetic effort, not the best advertisement of a new football club. Those actions spoke volumes about the club. IMO.

What a surprise the Titans sign another player. Such a soulless, plastic club.

obviously you have never been there, the whole place is fake and plastic (including the boobs!)

gold coast is a city of soulless people, why not have a soulless club?

Oh, wait a minute you're actually serious. Dear oh, dear.

So tell me, how many established first graders have Melbourne signed in recent years?

And how many players have Melbourne had to let go due to the salary cap?

Melbourne bring players up through the lower grades to replace their established players who have been forced from the team due to the salary cap, they don't go out and buy every single player.

It's so rewarding to watch a team get built up from the ground and then go on to dominate the comp for 4 years straight.

I much prefer that to buying a whole new side in the off season and then choking in the finals.

So its changed from buying soooooo many players to not buying every single player. To say your club does not sign established 1st grade players is an outright lie.

I am quite confident we purchased a handfull of players (some who were fringe 1st graders), but if it makes you feel better believing we purchased a whole new side, please continue.

Melbourne can only dream of having the junior roduction line we have. When you actually start producing players from the area you represent, then you can say you produce your own.

I eagerly await the next Searle media conference talking about how great a bloke Greg Bird is and how he hopes his son grows up to be just like him.

The last established 1st grader that Melbourne went out of their way to sign from another club was Michael Crocker. Clint Newton ran away from Newcastle and Melbourne said sure why not. Same with Brett Finch.

Have fun watching your side of mercenaries choke in the finals once again next year, if they even get there.

lol

coming from a melbourne fan...

hahaha i thought the same thing

Melbourne may have a decent club culture now but it has taken them awhile. same thing will happen for the Titans eventually.

i could take calling the Titans plastic coming from a foundation club fan but a Storm fan? nuh uh.

Misinformed Post

Did you even go through that list of players? Pretty much every single one of them apart from Melbournes inaugural side had either no first grade games or only a handful before being signed by Melbourne.

Once again my point stands, only rarely do Melbourne sign established players. Melbourne have taken a bunch of rejects that weren't wanted by any other club and have created a dynasty.

Have fun watching your team of local juniors like Darius Boyd, Michael Weyman and Neville Costigan inevitably choke in the finals next year.
