Swagger's last big push was coming back and winning the Elimination Chamber to get a title match at WM, he then f**ked that up by getting arrested for something (I can't recall what), and they dropped him down as fast as they could.

cesaro in the ring is awesome, but his character wasn't really connecting with the wwe universe, so that's probably why he wasn't world champion, but he works well with tyson kidd, and they are a good tag team.

is zeb not coming back???

The problem for Cesaro was that before and when he won the Andre the Giant Battle Royale last year, the "WWE Universe" wanted him to turn face. Instead, they paired him with Paul Heyman and had him remain heel, and lose a bunch of his more popular moves and mannerisms. Eventually the crowds knew they wouldn't get what they wanted and moved away from him. Dean Ambrose is in a similar situation now.

I think a lot of that fan rejection has to do with the fact that aligning him with Heyman meant exactly 0. They didn't put him into any feuds as a result of it, nor did he actually do anything.

The fact that the partnership could be ended with a simple promo saying "We're still friends" speaks volumes for how little the partnership had meant to either party.

They really f**ked up. His Cesaro Swing was soooooo over - so they turn him heel.

He's still one of the best wrestlers in the roster, though.

I thought it was interesting how they made out as if he played Rugby but left because he was "too aggressive."

Ususally when they say something about a wrestlers past, it's true... in this though it was utter b/s.

It still amazes me that Buck Shelford was mentioned in WWE commentary multiple times (in relation to Cesaro's rugby tough guy character).

maybe his character should have been english

and it's funny when there is a pom wrestling and jbl always makes a comment about how england is going in a sport that most yanks know nothing about, nor care about

JBL actually has some knowledge on the sport, he has been a coach of schoolboy RU teams since moving to Bermuda.
