Just watched the 3 "It Begins" video's, and I conclude two things:

1\ Those kids creep me the f**k out

2\ While everyone at the shows is chanting Y2J, I can't get the nagging feeling out of my head that it could be Undertaker.

I don't think it's Jericho, the promos are too dark to be him. My money would be on the Undertaker, he has the most logical link to it.

Based on the roll the WWE is on now, it will probably be Mordecai

The revised version of Kane reminds me of the whole Malibu Stacey episode of The Simpsons.

I really don't care for this.

This, he's been maskless for 7-8 years now. What's the point of going back to it? The mask made him look badass because it was up to the viewers imagination what is underneath it, that's the intrigue. That's gone, we all know what he looks like. It just doesn't have the same appeal as it did the first time around. To me it's just Kane...with a mask.

My issue is not with the re-masking. It's with the booking. He should have been "killed" i.e. brutal beaten beyond survival or even set on fire by a group of 10 lower midcarders/jobbers led by say The Miz. Then, 5 months later at the Royal Rumble, with said 10 guys in the ring cleaning house early on, and after substantial hype through internet and promo videos, Kane returns, eliminates all 10 and this will build to a showdown with the Miz at Wrestlemania.

Just my thoughts.

It's more then likely Jericho (2nd January), I reckon Taker wouldn't return till the Royal Rumble at the earliest, other possibilities are Shane & Stephanie or maybe even Vince himself.

January 2 is a Monday though, that's when they'll return. Would love to see Jericho back though.

I think its guarenteed it will be against Punk.... with him claiming being the best wrestler in the world, and the videos saying "coming back to claim what is there's" or whatever it says. It leads me to think Jericho, but I would mark the f**k out if its Austin.

Raw was internet-riffic this week.

Punk opened up the show and brought out Zack Ryder & Daniel Bryan. Announced their were Internet World Champions or the IWC and his co-horts all made a couple of comments before they were attacked by The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Dolph Ziggler which set up the main event later that night.

Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett via DQ. Barrett was disqualified for a thumb to the eye and put Orton through a table after the match.

Alicia Fox SQUASHED Beth Phoinex. Photos emerged on twitter showcasing the after effects of the match.

Sheamus SQUASHED Jinder Mahal.

John Cena came out and cut a promo. He called out Kane but received Mark Henry instead. Henry appeared to be in noticeable pain limping to the ring in street clothes and cut a promo about last week's match. As Henry was cutting his promo Welder Kane came out and attacked Cena causing him to bleed. Kane left as Cena looked on in disbelief to end the segment.

The Colons w/Rosa Mendes def. The Usos. Strange result given the Colons received the jobber entrance. Solid TV match designed to put the Colons over.

Cody Rhodes SQUASHED Santino

Josh Matthews interviewed The Big Show about TLC. Show seemed calm about the result until Matthews brought up Show's tiny title reign. This made the Big Show visibly upset but he begrudgingly said he was okay and walked off to end the segment.

CM Punk, Daniel Bryan & Zack Ryder def. The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Dolph Ziggler. The faces came out through the crowd which made them look like rock stars and DB was the hero here making Del Rio tap. ADR appeared to be in a lot of pain tonight and rumours are circulating that he could be injured. Post-show the faces mock Cole and celebrate.

It looks like they actually did something to put Dragon over tonight and no monster roid ape in a 6 man main event?

It's a miracle.

If every other part of the show didn't stink to high heaven I wouldn't believe it.

I should mention that proper tag team wrestling is another highlight.

Would be good to see a rival of the division.

Hopefully KoW get smashed over.

Raw opened this week with John Lauranaitis coming out to Punk's music and Punk's 'Best in the World' T-Shirt which he hilariously wore over his suit. He cut a typical Lauranaitis promo before he was interrupted by Punk. Lauranaitis teased Punk had the night off before booking him in a Gauntlet Match. If Punk won he'd go onto face Lauranaitis and if he lost, the winner would get a title shot next week.

As the segment was ending the final 'It Begins 2012' promo aired. Nothing we haven't seen before but honestly the WWE have done a reasonable job keeping this series of vignettes as cryptic as possible and I'm excited to see who it is.

Booker T def. Cody Rhodes via Axe Kick in a Non-Title Match. A stereotypical Booker T match where he had troubles hitting the Axe Kick before nailing it in the end. I guess this will set up a rubber match at the Rumble or on some special edition of Smackdown.

Zack Ryder & Eve Torres def. Tyson Kidd & Natalya via Rough Ryder on Kidd. Before the match began Ryder/Cena had a backstage promo which basically went the same way as they always do with Cena putting Ryder over. Short match with Ryder hitting all his signatures with Eve and scoring the win over Tyson.

John Cena def. The Miz via Count-Out. Segment started off as Cena calling out Kane but The Miz answered the call instead and he wanted to beat Cena to prove he could beat Cena without The Rock. The match never really got underway as The Miz rolled out of the ring grabbed the mic. and cut some in-match promo about saying it was a waste of his time. Just as he was finished R-Truth returned and attacked him.

The Big Show def. David Otunga via DQ. Show had one hand tied behind his back for the stipulation but it was a trap as Henry came down early into the contest. Before Henry could do any real damage Bryan came out and distracted Henry. Otunga ate a chokeslam to end the segment.

Alberto cut a promo in a wheelchair. Said he tore his groin but when he comes back he'll win the belt again.

Gauntlet Match #1
CM Punk def. Jack Swagger via Signature Kick.
When the match was over Swagger laid out Punk who struggled to get into position for the second match.

Gauntlet Match #2
Dolph Ziggler def. CM Punk via Zig Zag.
Punk had him covered but Lauranaitis came out to evict Ziggler's entourage which distracted the ref. and gave Ziggler time to hit his finisher. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler next week.

Kane came out and explained his actions. Essentially, he doesn't like Cena's Rise Above Hate campaign, believes hate is necessary and should be embraced. Cena came out but Kane prevented him from coming to the ring by summoning a wall of fire which Cena sold like he shat his pants. Kane mocked Cena over the negative crowd reactions and that was Raw.

I think it's great that Dolph gets a proper WWE Title match (c'mon, his WHC run is pretty ordinary), even if it's on Raw and not PPV. Particularly after his two gimmicks prior to the Ziggler gimmick (Kerwin White's "Caddy" Nick Nemeth and Nicky of the Spirit Squad). The guy deserves credit.

The rest, meh. Love Ryder + Kane's angle has promise, but meh.
